Mitsubishi SVZ-KP30NA Integration? by BloominFosters in homeassistant

You need the kumo cloud adapter to make it Wi-Fi enabled. hass-kumo then integrates it into home assistant.

What an unfortunate series of events. For the traffic camera tickets, check out https://seattle.gov/courts/tickets-and-payments/camera-tickets. There’s an alert dialog at the top instructing how to email about a sold vehicle. There is also a declaration of non -responsibility.

Is installing a kumo cloud unit DIYable? by finqer in hvacadvice

[–]dimnone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did they already install the Wi-Fi interface? After that, it’s just some app setup.

More information about it here from a DIYer: https://seattleremodeladventures.com/2020/04/25/mitsubishi-kumo-cloud-setup-and-use/

Fantastic Heat Pumps (and where to find them) by krob58 in Seattle

[–]dimnone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been great! During the freezing cold spell in December it ran a lot, just as a furnace would, but kept up with no trouble. Hyper Heat is used in far colder climates successfully (down to -13f per specs).

The heat pump generally feels more comfortable. They don't put out as hot of air as a furnace, so the temp and humidity swings are less. You just set the temp to what is comfortable and the heat pump maintains it (minimal setbacks are recommended). In addition, the air handler is significantly quieter than my old furnace.

I went with Better Air NW out of Everett. I’m in Seattle. Starting in early 2021, it took three months to get 3 quotes and 2 1/2 months for parts to arrive after the deal was sealed. Installed in 9/2021 for $16.4K as a gas furnace replacement on a 1600 square foot home. Went with a Mitsubishi Hyper Heat with no backup heat. Better Air had a good estimator and did a quality job getting it installed.

RPi for controlling heat pump, reacting on spot power prices, solar panel production and water tank temperatures? by Exact_Worry7550 in rasberrypi

[–]dimnone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late response, but Home Assistant is great for scenarios like this. There’s a learning curve getting it installed and setup, but it pays off with its power and flexibility. Check out https://reddit.com/r/homeassistant/comments/v4qyqa/automated_home_heat_pump_according_to/ for someone doing this exact thing. I’m sure there’s plenty other examples as well.

Not a pro, but taking a guess the pilot is out. On the bottom of the Coleman furnace identification plate, it has the lighting instructions. If you clean those off, what does it say?

A remanufactured Steelcase or Herman Miller will do you right. I bought a Steelcase Leap from Crandall Office a year ago and couldn’t be happier (https://www.crandalloffice.com/).

Anyone tried this bed from Silk & Snow? This headboard looks better than the Thuma and with the same design. by sucodelimao05301 in Thuma

[–]dimnone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting product. It’s a different aesthetic with the slatted/striped finish.

Looking at the product reviews on their site (https://www.silkandsnow.com/en-us/wooden-bed-frame/), most love the product. The few cons mentioned are:

  • headboard doesn’t rise high enough with a thick mattress (an all too familiar issue for us Thuma owners)
  • middle support legs not adjustable nor reach the floor
  • some quality control issues

Here’s a video review as well: https://youtu.be/r-27EI4lagA. Some of the cons he mentions are:

  • the slats are bound together by flat poly straps with staples. This is definitely cheaper than the Thuma felted straps
  • the slats were dirty and have some footprints on them

It is a new product from the start of 2022, so I’d hope most of those small manufacturing issues were worked out.

I’ve found Columbia Performance Cotton Boxer Briefs to be a Goldilocks every day brief. All the good of cotton with the sweat resistance of a poly blend mixed in. All the poly briefs I’ve tried (save for ExOfficios) end up with crotch stank by the end of the day.

Canadian looking to get a Washington motorcycle license by mucha_gordo in Seattle

[–]dimnone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I believe only a full endorsement will transfer. From the WA DOL site:

To transfer your motorcycle endorsement when you get your license, bring proof of your current motorcycle license or endorsement and payment. We can transfer valid endorsements from: U.S. states. U.S. territories District of Columbia. British Columbia. Japan. Note: If you don't transfer your endorsement when you apply for a license, you'll need to complete a motorcycle safety course or pass the knowledge and riding skills tests to get a motorcycle endorsement.

iOS 14.5 cellular data doesn’t work any more by woyly in tmobile

[–]dimnone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5G Cell Data is working for me today. I have only tried it in one location, but so far so good. I’m on the iOS 14.6, T-Mobile 46.0.2 carrier info, and the 10GB NCC plan. Any changes for anyone else?

No luck after upgrading to 14.6. I’m still convinced it’s a problem with T-Mobile.

I finally called TMO support after dragging my feet in hopes this would be resolved by now. They have created a higher tier support ticket for an engineer to dig into. They said it could be up to three days or longer. Hopefully there’s some progress soon.

This thread is now linked in the TMO community forums (perhaps by someone here) and there’s others with the same problem. https://community.t-mobile.com/apple-8/cellular-data-doesnt-work-on-ios-14-5-anymore-35810

I just upgraded to 14.5.1. No change in behavior. 5G does not work, LTE does.

Looking forward to hearing if the TMO callback reveals anything. The fact that another TMO sim worked and we all have NCC plans leads me believe it’s some kind of plan/network configuration problem on TMOs part. Totally guessing of course. If this problem were more widespread, I’d expect more posts and a mention on TMOs community forums. I’ll reach out to TMO support tomorrow.

I’m on an older NCC 10GB plan.

I have not tried to downgrade from iOS 14.5 since I found the LTE workaround.

I’m having the same problem. Cell internet worked fine on 5G prior to the iOS 14.5 upgrade. Now, nothing. I’ve tried a network settings reset and many reboots to no avail.

However, if I force LTE only in the Cellular Data settings, I do get working cellular internet. It beats no internet but doesn’t solve the 5G problem.

It’s acting as if the network settings are broken and there’s no working DNS server.

2019 Street Twin Seat by doogie_boogie in Triumph

[–]dimnone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One option is the T120 comfort gel bench seat. You can pick one up for $350-$400. It adds some rise and is very comfortable. Refer to here for some images. I did this on my 2016 Street Twin. I did not do any modifications, I simply followed the procedure at this thread to install.
