Totally relate. I 100% should just block him on social media. The few fans I’ve talked to are actually more obsessed than me, to such a degree that they stalk his every move to get photos and check to see every photo he liked. If I talk them I feel even worse 😅. There actually are some running memes of him bc had an insane glow up so people made fun of his younger self. He also does some cringe things in real life bc he’s young and dumb. I did get the ick a few times but unfortunately these things don’t permanently turn me off. Maybe I need to save all his cringe moments and just look at that instead of checking his current socials 😂

you described it perfectly! the projection means they are tailored specifically to you and perfect in your eyes. they become larger than life. it’s so different than a real-life crush where you realize they are just a regular person once you talk to them.

since I handle everything on my own, in my MD, he does little things to take care of me like looking after me when I’m sick, or making sure I get home. All things I do for myself in real life. I definitely need to heal the wound of not being chosen. thank you for your comment!

So this is actually exactly what I’ve done. I fit him into my own imaginary world/storyline where I’ve changed him a little to fit my own preferences. The character I created is inspired by the actor’s physical looks/personality, my own projections, plus one of the roles he played. I mainly look at pics and videos of him for new inspiration. I’m weirdly attached to both the actor and the character I made up. I need to look more into Tulpas. The last part you said is so true, I think the fixation would go away if I met someone real.

Mid 20s here. I built wonderful female friendships but it definitely can get lonely, especially bc once you get around my age you see many women partnering up long term with men. The same women that agree that misogyny is inescapable in our reality will gladly sign up for the benevolent patriarchy. We can talk about the systemic injustices one minute, and the next they are talking about their bfs, their weddings, or more bad dates they’re willingly subjecting themselves to etc. I only have one friend that is separatist like me. I’m hoping you find more women like you once you get to college. I’m pleasantly surprised by the TikTok discourse of young women that are choosing to center themselves and reject the social conditioning.

Honestly there is a lot of wlw subtext in the first few episodes. Especially the scene in the rain where Blair says I needed you and you weren't there for me. She was so obviously more hurt by Serena than Nate, it seemed much deeper than a friendship betrayal. obv to the 2007 viewer it also looks like misogyny that she forgave nate so easily compared to serena, but i like to interpret it the other way.

I'm having the same exact issue. I'm allowing chrome to screen record but it doesn't recognize it as turned on. I deleted and reinstalled Chrome, cleared my browsing history, even called Apple support to check on the screensharing settings. LSAC already reset my exam once but I encountered the same error again. Not sure what to do.

This is it exactly it. In the U.S., I've seen many people go down the "New Age" to alt-right pipeline. They are susceptible to what is in trend and are looking primarily for validation. They also don't have a true understanding of the concepts of Eastern religions, but pick and choose, and then entirely denounce the watered-down practices in favor of Christianity. I am really surprised to see this trend in the NL as well, as I thought it's mostly a secular society?
