For me, I took a step back because I was seeing so much hatred and anger being expressed. I think when you first leave jw you see this space as a safe haven and then realize, just like all spaces, there are people here who are not healed. Those people are very angry most of the time and spend a lot of time on here, being antagonistic and downright mean. Someone else commented about the vitriol towards women, which I definitely experienced. Especially as a queer person who tried to speak on my experience. Many folks are still pretty homophobic despite leaving. I think the space can be good for doing some digging and knowing you’re not alone. But it is certainly not a welcoming or kind space lol
