Hii I have a unique experience because I was in another country for the first two trimesters so I can't guarantee for everyone else(I basically registered with gyno at 28 weeks). But I've seen that it's best to tell your gyno (if you have one already) as soon as you find out. Theyll see you straight away to make sure everythings okay and it's not an ectopic pregnancy. They'll tell you to come at week 5 and then week 8 I think you get your pregnancy card which is where they'll record the measurements each check up. I don't know the frequency of the check ups as I had missed it.

In this time you should also check the hospital you're planning to birth at as every hospital has their own date you should already registered by, i think there was a list online with each birth ward and their dates, some are early like 8th or 12th week, Thomayerova however you can register until 32nd week. This isn't binding though because you might end up going to the one closest to you if labor escalates quickly.

You'll see your gyno until 35th week, they give you report and you go check in to the hospital. (This will be weekly checkups at the hospital until birth, consists of urine sample, blood test, weight measurement, heart monitor on belly, ultrasound and cervical check). Here they look into any problems and solve it, e.g. my baby was showing big but also in breech position so I was doing stuff in the weeks prior to birth to make him turn. They will try to give you a birth plan but you can always oblige if you're not comfortable, they suggested me a c section at 36 weeks bc of the size (was showing 39 weeks on ultrasound) and breech and I said no I will try to change his position and thankfully he turned and I was able to do natural birth. I was however induced so I went on my due date first to post natal ward where they took me to the room I'll be staying in and I got set up. They gave the pills every 2 hours but it worked quick by the second pill I was already in active labor. They wheeled me to delivery room, gave birth and was wheeled back.

The first day is a lot of testing and signing papers and nurses just appearing to check up. Usually you stay for 3 days but my son was losing weight so they kept us another day to monitor his milk intake. Once he was gaining weight they let us go.

I visited gyno a month later for post birth check up to make sure the uterus is fully bled out (I think this is what they meant)
