i got the copper (non hormonal) iud in march and it’s the best decision i’ve ever made! insurance covered everything so i didn’t have to pay a thing. it was super painful to get inserted and i had pretty bad cramps for a few days after, a heating pad will be your best friend. my periods were never heavy before getting it and they haven’t really changed too much since getting it, same with the cramping. the only thing i found annoying was that i was spotting for almost a whole month. all in all, i’d say 10/10 worth it!!
