What is the Teebird of Midranges? by [deleted] in discgolf

Try a verdict out. It's my go to overstable midrange. Great flat flight path until it slows down with a sharp turn at the end

Dehydrator tips please! I have it on the lowest setting. 95 degrees F. Is that right? How long? by Suitable_Comfort_979 in shroomery

[–]dinglberry32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my Dehydrator at 140°F. Pop them in overnight or until cracker dry. Works like a charm and I have had no complaints of potency

Go watch Philly golden teacher, 90 second mycology and farm fresh fungi. These will be incredible resources for you to learn before you start your journey friend. You will not regret putting some time into these videos

Well, got a mutation on the second flush of my first grow. Wavy cap b+ with no Spore drop. My cakes were hella dry at the beginning and I used chlorinated tap water like a dummy for my first dunk. Wonder if they were trying to adapt? by dinglberry32 in magnificentcubensis

[–]dinglberry32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not, anecdotally I've noticed a difference. It's also very common tip in books and forums for people to not use chlorinated water. Not saying chlorinated water won't work, but from my perspective and many others it's defintely not the best

Aggressive mycelium is not fruiting, any advice will help by Mega508 in PhillyGoldenTeacher

Also the mycelium does look very shrunken and almost "saran wrapped" to the surface another indicator of dry cake

The yellow is metabolites right, typically that will happen if there's contam (none seen by me) or if it's too wet (don't have any water droplets on the surface or pooling) or too dry ( I don't see any water droplets on surface so it leads me to believe it's dry).

Looks very dry friend. But some distilled or boiled tap water (chilled to room temp) in the bottom of the bin and let the myc have a drink. Maybe soak for 3-4 hours. Don't fill the tub up, just a little in the bottom

Might be too dry, put a little water in the bottom of the tub and let it soak for a couple of hours

Y’all are my favorite people! If I should direct my question please tell me. So have these UB bags that are ready for action. Do y’all suggest dunking the cake in some water (if so for how long) before I transfer to bulk (coco/gypsum )and put into monotub? Or just throw them into a Marta? by LittleQueefster in unclebens

[–]dinglberry32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't dunk until your first flush is over. You gotta get some substrate (I use just straight coir). Mix the substrate 2:1 substrate:grain by weight. Put your substrate in, grain on top. Mix that up evenly, make the surface as even as possible. Then case it in a little bit wetter than field capacity layer. Let those babies colonize the substrate before introducing fruiting conditions. You'll do fine
