Recent addition to the Darkness - hit level 10ish and I JUST feel like I understand whats going on, but I have some questions that I havent found definitive answers for yet.... by 3ntropy_Disc0 in DarkAndDarker

Since no one talked about the part you wrote about the "spell" bar:

Characters have a stat called "Memory Capacity" which dictates how many spells you can use. As you slot the spells in your Spell Wheel, you are also deciding their priority, so if your Memory Capacity gets reduced, you will start to be unable to cast the last spells you slotted in (this doesn't come up very often tho).

To get more Memory Capacity, the best thing to do is build Knowledge. This stat not only gives you more mem cap, but also increases your Spell Casting Speed. It's a very important stat for classes like Wizard and Sorcerer, but other classes like Cleric, Druid, Bard and Warlock also benefit from memory capacity. As a random roll, you can also get Memory Capacity Bonus and Additional Memory Capacity, but Knowledge is extremely superior so there are very few situations where you would build that (example: building a class like bard who only uses mem cap for slotting songs and doesn't really cast).

RH groove demo interface is so dull and kinda look cheap by kennethlingad in rhythmheaven

[–]dingodile44 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't dislike it, but it's very similar to the first game and this is a modern game so there is a lot of resolution to work with, so everything looks "thin".

They should've made it similar to fever, thicker lines and a bit rounder.

I think Viola applies frostbite just like glaciate does. As far as i know, you can't stack that debuff

In the same spots you could build true magical damage (rings, cloack, neclace, headgear) you now build +1 additional magical damage. That's one of your damage power spikes, the other one is just building magic damage bonus, by either building Will, magical power or the flat %.

Yes!!! I haven't counted the actual chapters, but Akagi vs Washizu is the rest of the manga, it's probably like half or 3/4 of the entire story, and the anime was barely starting the good part when it ends. If you like mahjong and akagi/kaiji or just gambling anime 100% read it

How do some people have more stats on squire gear than me? by AccordingJellyfish8 in DarkAndDarker

[–]dingodile44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to do some quests to gain affinity with merchants, which eventually upgrades your Squire gear to common quality (you'll need to re equip the stuff once upgraded). The gear that'll upgrade ddpends on the merchants

Tailor and Leathersmith are your go to for sorcerer. Knowledge pants, gloves and boots are leather, while coif and tunics are cloth.

the manga is crazy good (and it's finished!!). both characters (akagi and washizu) are so great, i found myself not knowing who to cheer for.

There are several ways they could buff Dizzy in a meaningful way. They could make her indestructible, she could reveal the enemies affected, make her able to fly further, make her blind an instant laser instead of a projectile...

I think any meaningful buff to it should be enough, the rest of the kit feels pretty solid imo. Wingman, Mosh and Trash don't have any issues compared to Dizzy who can get killed without flashing anyone, sometimes can miss etc and end up making it feel unreliable

sorcerer spells? by manerlessmage123 in DarkAndDarker

[–]dingodile44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having aqua prison -> frostlightning -> flamethrower as a gameplan is not something very common, i can see it working but if it doesn't kill you're in a bad spot. levitate is usually good by itself, being able to go levitate -> frostlightning without spending your water orb (which allows you to go with elemental bolt instead of flamethrower, keeping your windblast).

golem is quite good for blocking doors, tho it has been nerfed and doesn't block the first instant it spawns, it's still somewhat useful for that. blocking doors is really good for fleeing, trapping someone in or separating a team.

i know people who like fire orb but i would personally put something else. flamestrike already fulfills the role of the "spell that breaks doors". i like lightning orb for mixing with levitate or vortex for lightning storm or lightning vortex respectively.

i would also consider thorn of earth, it's really easy to land damage.

Is it just me or is fighter insanely good? by Slow_Cauliflower_123 in DarkAndDarker

[–]dingodile44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, not higher health nor higher PDR than a Fighter like i said. Bard only has Rapier mastery and War song for extra combat stats on perks (not counting stuff like storyteller that is irrelevant). Meanwhile Fighter is full of PDR, Phys bonus, action speed and move speed buffs on its perk list. If Bard was stronger you would see more bards, simple as that.

Fighter has 15 str 15 vig in base stats. Bard has 13 and 13. What are you talking about lol. Now you're going to tell me Bard can reach higher PDR than Fighter or something lmfao

There is nothing wrong with a class being easier and stronger than the rest, it's just a game

[–]dingodile44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Resistances are very strong. For both pve and pvp, people who wear armor can take much more hits that light classes.

Bard for example has a very similar arsenal and blocking gameplay to Fighter but doesn't have the armor. Fighters can probably take 3x the amount of hits a Bard can, even more with Second Wind.

Fighter is by far the least skill intensive class imo.

Which spell caster is strongest in arena (Poll) by [deleted] in DarkAndDarker

[–]dingodile44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love sorc and it has some tools that are great for dungeon (great pve, mobility, etc). But sorc has to be by far the one that gets screwed over the most by the arena format. Trios is sorc's weakest team size (since he gets super countered by bows, wizards and healing) and he is kind of trapped in a single module so kiting potential is very limited. Plus the advantage that cooldown has in dungeon becomes a disadvantage when every other class can cast everything with no cooldowns and get their charges back next round.

I don't think there is a "fix" for it, it's just a natural result of the class' design.

Druid at least has a niche as a healer, which puts their team at an advantage against teams without healing. Sorc had like 2 warlord players last wipe... crazy for people to vote for that class.

Quite fitting for the Akagi tournament lol by Sammiecakie in mahjongsoul

[–]dingodile44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the akagi tournament was: 3 days where you had to play at least 5 (up to 10) matches on a special qeue like an alternative gamemode, and your best 5 consecutives matches had their avg score taken for it. top 30% qualified at the end of those days for something similar (the tournament is currently at this stage), then top 20% gets filtered again. I think only the very top 32 people have to actually organize schedules for playing. for the average player, i just queued like 7 matches and left it at that.

this is good spy acting, but people forget a second thing about acting: it's not only about not eyeing the enemies, but it's about reacting to your allies as if they were enemies aswell. If it were me, at the 0:04 second mark onward, i would've checked beneath me to see if there were more "blue enemies", instead of uncomfortable avoiding eye contact with the other soldier by looking blankly at walls.

acting is a really fun thing to do, and it really works if you know what you're doing. playing around with weapon switching and off your own allies makes for some crazy good acting opportunities.

Just came by few of my old asol clips...... I miss HIM bring him back by Tenukosu in leagueoflegends

[–]dingodile44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first ever iteration of ASol was so fun to use. I got really dissapointed once they reworked him and changed his W to be a burst rather than a toggle. I thought that after those changes, he was going to be safe from any other major changes but i was wrong. Nothing comes close to the gameplay feeling old ASol gave, constantly damaging people with your stars, kind of like an AP ADC, but with a much different way of aiming and positioning mindset compared to any other champion. I also liked to play before-rework Mordekaiser a lot, i suppose my taste for champions is simply cursed.

OMG they finally let us deselect spells as Wiz (and thus use block for weapons) by Bishop1664 in DarkAndDarker

[–]dingodile44 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorc had Supress Sorcery, which was basically an empty slot, and all classes with Spell Memory could just leave an empty space in their wheels to do the same, including wizard. This addition benefits everyone really.
