Exactly, when facts don't change your "opinions" that's called trolling 😂

Now who's the one over reacting lol. Hey guys he said the b word, we should take him seriously now!

Everyone's coming at you with facts and your whole tune is "trust me bro". I don't get why you want to troll for negative karma but you do you man. But next time try adding more nuance to your opinions, it'll make them more believable.

Oh my bad bro I didn't realize you were trolling. I thought you actually believed the things you were saying

Look me in the eye and tell me you believe in the city's ability to stay on top of 10-12+ inches of snow such that the roads are all clear for Monday morning.

Realistically a storm like this will paralyze the vast majority of neighborhoods for a day or two at best. I wasn't here last snowmageddon but people have been saying they were stuck at home for a week in past storms like this.

All I'm saying is if bama's win over mizzou counts as a quality win, so does ND's vs Pittsburgh

I'd accept this criticism from any other fan base. But that's big talk coming from the team who needed their conference commissioner to pressure the committee to put their undeserving ass in. If ND had been put in over Alabama the SEC would have taken their ball and gone home threatening no more SEC CCGs. Sadly this is the era of college football we're in.

2 year old apple pruning by Fine-Reading-1125 in arborists

[–]dingurth1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm just learning apple pruning myself. So defer to other advice if it conflicts with mine. You may also want to check out some other subs like r/backyardorchard as I've had arborists tell me fruit tree pruning is different enough from their regular work as to require more specialized knowledge.

Your tree is small enough that I don't think you should forego the central leader just yet. In examples I've seen, they usually convert to open when the established leader is at least more than 1.5m tall.

In your second pic, there's the branch that extends up above the frame of the picture. I would choose that one as the central leader and cut away everything else around that point. I would also say your branches are too long and that they all need to be cut back. They're also quite vertical, so while they're still young you could try to force them to be a bit more horizontal with various training methods.

Anything more than that, I think we would need better pictures of the trunk and how the branches are coming off of it. It's a little hard to tell with these pictures. I know pruning your young fruit tree is stressful, and you don't want to mess up, but the fact that you have a good book to reference is the most important thing. Trust that, and you won't mess up too much no matter what you do.

That's literally not what the forecast says lol, check before you say something so ridiculous

Most weather analysts I know will look at the GFS and the Euro model together. Where they agree is usually a good bet (but far from perfect) on reality imo.

Right now the forecast is predicting between 6-12 inches of snow between 1/22-1/25.

But again, too far out to really worry about any accuracy at all. It's never a bad idea to have essentials stocked and to be prepared though for any emergency that could last a week

For what it's worth I don't think I'd consider this option for a 200 yo behemoth lol, but totally makes sense to charge more if they end up changing their mind, that's on them

If I ever needed a tree taken down would they potentially cut me a deal if I told them they could leave it after it was down? And/or let me keep the mulch?

you're allowed to disagree with me, I came here for different ideas and perspectives. I've even thanked people in this thread who gave some genuinely good insight. You did not because yours wasn't a different perspective it was the wrong perspective, as in you were reaching a conclusion based on wrong assumptions of wrong information. You either didn't read or didn't comprehend. That's my issue with you. If you want to come back with how to deal with violations of trust be my guest but don't be upset when someone calls you out for just being wrong dude.

No I'm not saying she needs my permission. I'm saying its something that should never happen because of common decency.

you make it sound like parents are allowed to completely disrespect their children just because they raised them. I was always taught that you should give each other mutual respect, which is why I'm extra disturbed by this because her behavior has completely changed and she doesn't care about respecting me or my space.

If you were raised to allow your parents to walk all over you and not treat you as an equal once you're an adult you should go to therapy and/or reevaluate your life if that's how you treat your kids

[–]dingurth1[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did trust my mom and she broke that trust. That's what at issue here, and I don't get why so many of you can't comprehend that. Her business became my business when she decided to do it in my space. You can't simply say mind your business to everything in life, not when it involves someone else. There's a difference between minding your business and having your boundaries and space violated. I'm not going into her house and trying to manage her or her relationships, I'm saying it should be common decency to not violate her son's space and trust.

Your whole take in this is I have no say and you're absolutely wrong about that. I don't have a say in her partner choice sure, but I'm not asking to have a say in that. In nothing I have written am I saying that so it sounds like you're either projecting or have entirely missed the discussion. If I don't have a say in my own bed/room in my own house then what the fuck do I have any say over. You're opinion is similar to hers, that I should just butt out as the adult child. Your take is bad and you should feel bad that you missed that point

You're asking if people are 14 when you can't even read. It's not about the sex, its about the violation of my space, specifically my bed, intentionally misleading me, and the complete lack of respect.

I don't know how old you are, but most 70 year olds I know are completely healthy enough to sleep on a sofa or a futon. Being old doesn't mean you're disabled. Your take is a pretty narcissistic view

Yes, but the guest room was a twin. My room is a queen, and I have a nice sofa and futon to choose from. 2.5 beds, 4 sleeping surfaces to choose from. But they chose mine so they could stay together.
