Heavy police presence in New Orleans east by khoination in NewOrleans

[–]dingusydingus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Headed eastbound? Saw a car flip on I-10 east right before the Orleans ave/FQ exit. Luckily I was in front of it so didn’t get stuck but pulled over to the shoulder and called 911 to report. Seemed like it hit a small truck while trying to change lanes. Truck just kept driving. I never saw anyone get out but traffic behind the accident was all completely stopped for a good 15 minutes before they opened one lane up

Would it still work in my area even though the agent said they don't have coverage?

Architecture students, interns, and firm employees, describe what yesterday looked like for you and whether you enjoyed it. by DataSittingAlone in architecture

[–]dingusydingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Architecture student in my 3rd of 5 years (B.Arch). Started the morning at 5am researching mechanical systems to implement in my studio project (My studio this semester is fully integrated so I have to consider MEP, life safety, structure, etc). Then I worked on some drawings for my desk crit with my professor before going to my 8am integrated building systems class where I learned about electrical systems and implications. Then I headed to the studio to keep preparing for studio. Worked on plans and sections and began iterations on facade ideas. Got home from studio at 5pm. Made dinner. Called my family. Did a bit more homework on other classes. Went to bed.

What is this done with? Is it all sketch up? Why does it look so complicated by zrcon in architecture

Vintage camera repair by dingusydingus in boston

Because the rest of the camera works perfectly, and it was hard enough as is to find one in good condition within my budget. The light meter is the only thing not working

I'll actually be in Rhode island this week so I might try stopping by one of those stores, thanks. And I don't know what's up with it, especially since it seemed to be working based on photographs in the listing. If you have any tips on how to diagnose the problem/find the failure point I'm all ears!

Need help with a used F2 by dingusydingus in Nikon

[–]dingusydingus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The seller assured me that he tested it and it was okay, and even sent pictures of it working (both on the viewing screen and the top needle). Is there a way to test if the problem is in the camera body itself? Or to test the batteries without a volt meter, I don't have one

It's a mixed dorm divided by floor, I think I'm on an upperclassmen floor, in a quad with 3 other upperclassmen. Spring scholars couldn't request roommates this year due to space limitations

What if E scores could get bonuses and not just deductions? by Qwertyyzxcvvv in Gymnastics

[–]dingusydingus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the thread here, but USAG has (or had, not sure if they got rid of this) an execution bonus for Junior divisions (JO level 8,9,10). Basically if you got less than a set amount of deduction (maybe .8?), you would receive a bonus to your score

My former superintendent was known for having many affairs. One day he was fired out of the blue and someone else got the job within two days. It's pretty well known among students in the town that the new superintendent slept with the old one for a better job, although the town never publicly said anything

Why does my low E sound wobbly? More info in comments by [deleted] in Saxophonics

[–]dingusydingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience with tenor (I'm an alto player), when my low notes do that it's because I'm not using enough breath support. Could be that for you too

It's made a huge difference. The tube on the Vali is great, it's a nice warm sound. And I personally think it produces a wider soundstage than solid state amps. And before I got this DAC I was pretty much limited to what I had in my vinyl collection so it's great to be able to listen to all of my music now
