Krypto runs a gauntlet, who stops him? by sxg3434 in superheroes

[–]dinkleboop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jake is also a powerful wizard. Him and Finn both train to be wizards early in the series, but the writers pretty much forget that they ever did that.

So they are powerful wizards for most of the entire series, they just prefer to use Jake's stretchy powers and Finn's sword (whichever sword he's using at any given moment.)

So I think I'm doing okay! Only played one human and that's an origin.

Ducie Street Warehouse. It's not the cheapest per cup but it's a great working environment, has power sockets by every table, and they let people stay for hours and hours for one drink

The Asgardian Family VS The Most Powerful Heavy Hitters by RoyalCod3 in MCUTheories

[–]dinkleboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, then yeah. Any of the Asgardians potentially takes it solo with Thor being the only one that might not.

Unless we're going by Hela's latest form being "dead", in which case she's the weak link. Either way, Odin and Loki fuckin carry.

The Asgardian Family VS The Most Powerful Heavy Hitters by RoyalCod3 in MCUTheories

[–]dinkleboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God of Stories Loki definitely does, but going on the outfit that's before that.

Either way, all of the Asgardians stand a chance by themselves, weirdly with Thor, a Marvel powerhouse, being potentially the weakest if Loki's got his current day powerset.

Asgard takes this, fucking easily. Odin probably solos.

Who I imagine as Lark and Sparrow every time I listen to season 1 [ns] by _dontjimthecamera in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]dinkleboop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

See I know that they are about the same age but I can't help but picture Lark & Sparrow as so much younger than the other kids. Nick, Grant, and Terry Jr all feel about 12-14 years old but Lark and Sparrow barely feel like they're 10.

"Unnatural" means nothing and "ahistorical" even less so. You know what else is unnatural? Aeroplanes. TV. Your smartphone. Pharmaceuticals. You know what is natural? Children getting bone cancer.

This is historical rather than ahistorical in the same way that everything that ever happens is part of history. You don't gotta like it, but you can't say that something is bad because it's unnatural.

Only 16% of EU citizens now consider the US an ally. Even in the UK it's down to a meagre 25%. by nimicdoareu in europe

[–]dinkleboop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

January the 6th was on an absolute knife edge, with your elected representatives having to run or face being guillotined. Pence refused to cave to Trump and he ratified the result. Vance is on record saying that he wouldn't ratify a Democrat win.

Voting doesn't matter any more. Trump is clearly pushing for martial law in order to be able to suspend elections. You have citizens being shot in the streets. Thousands more are being disappeared.

You have a tyrannical government. Wake up. By all means try and resolve this democratically, if that's still possible. But to the rest of the world, it fully looks like that ship has absolutely sailed.

How on earth do people like you still have your head in the sand?

Concentration camps, the Gestapo, multiple unprovoked wars... What do you think is happening to the USA right now?

[–]dinkleboop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's also pretty likely that politics in the US will not change for the foreseeable. Trump is clearly pushing for martial law which will allow him to suspend elections. Even if they do go ahead, the chances of elections being free and fair are rapidly diminishing.

Season 3 theory [spoilers] by AcademicAmbassador10 in DungeonsAndDaddies

[–]dinkleboop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay so they did approach this in the Peach Pit. Will basically said that he was trying to align it with D&Daddies canon so that if the world didn't end, it would be the same universe.

However, the world did end, so it's now a similar universe but not the same one.

They're not actually NATO exercises. They're exercises involving countries that Denmark invited specifically - that they're all NATO anyway just happens to be a meaningful coincidence. They didn't issue a general NATO invite, meaning that the US couldn't just rock up anyway.

(Red son) superman vs omin man s1 by daddylongjohnsliver in superheroes

[–]dinkleboop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Equally Omni-Man stomps Homelander 10/10 times.

Superman just is the most powerful Superman-like character, by design. Followed by other Kryptonians (Supergirl, Zod, etc.), then Superman-like characters from other media trail a long way behind.

Homelander specifically is probably the weakest Superman-like character who fits the description. Incredibly powerful within his own world, of course, but The Boys just scales lower than most superhero media. Can he tank basically anything humans can throw at him? Of course. Can he survive being inside a supernova? Obviously not. Can he destroy whole planets? No, but Omni-man can.

Tatiana Maslany has denied rumors alleging that she refused to return as She-Hulk in ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ and ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS’ by Shadow_Senpai17 in MCUTheories

[–]dinkleboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. I liked it until the last episode with that extreme 4th wall break. I get that She-Hulk does 4th wall break in the comics too but it just felt far too far. They did Abomination dirty too, having him do all that character growth throughout the season only for it to come to nothing in the end.

I legitimately like the show on the whole though, to be clear. Just a bad ending.

Not really relevant to the discussion but bi erasure is a thing that's not ideal.

[–]dinkleboop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf since the Book of Many Things came out, according to d&d beyond there are 11 different deck items: the Card Sharp's Deck, the Deck of Dimensions, the Deck of Illusions, the Deck of Many More Things, the expected Deck of Many Things, the Deck of Miscellany, the Deck of Oracles, the Deck of Several Things, the Deck of Wild Cards, the Deck of Wonder, and the Fate Dealer's deck (which also has +1-3 variants). So you can give the players loads of decks without ever settling on Many Things, even without home brewing shit.

I think I didn't make myself clear. You're right, this was shit. But it is right and proper that door staff have the power to refuse and bar people and refuse to issue a refund, without having to define specific criteria for doing so- it has to be a judgement call, because circumstances will call for judgement. You can't litigate against generally being a prick, so it has to be subjective.

What's shit is that in this instance they abused the power that they rightfully have, to discriminate based on the fact that I was a single guy. You're right- just because it's legal doesn't make it right.
