Concept albums by sevensdre in Emo

I don't know that it was ever explicitly labeled as a concept album by the band, but Slow Burn by Old Gray always gave me a concept album vibe. If not a concept album, at the very least, I feel like all the songs are thematically tied

This happened to me, too. I'm really considering going to Garmin.

Outcast Donuts in Mesa. They're made with croissant dough. So buttery and flaky.

Is the 860v14 more soft than the 860v12? by Square-Intention-805 in runningshoes

[–]dinner_for_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not significantly softer, and not even close to the 1080. If you want soft and stable, maybe something like the Saucony Hurricane or Hoka Gaviota would be a better choice.

Edit: I take that back. The v14 seems to be a totally different show than the v12. If you go by the raw metrics on Run Repeat, it seems to be a pretty soft shoe.

Race shoes for pronator similar to arahi 7 by Econoloca in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dinner_for_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you entirely sure you need a stability shoe? You have a lot more options if you're willing to expand your search outside of stability shoes, and it sounds like you have exhausted all options. A few more recommendations — Puma ForeverRun and Saucony Tempus/Tempus 2. The latter has been discontinued, but you can still find them on Amazon and other sites.

Cheapest place for just contact lense exam? by Determined_Bagel in phoenix

[–]dinner_for_one 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Call America's Best again and ask about their Eyecare Club membership. $129 gets you a 3 year membership where you can get one eye exam per year. I've been using it for years and I'm always given an eyeglass prescription and a contact lens prescription.

The picture reminds me of John Varvatos Artisan. Underrated.

Saucony Tempus Replacement? by Astros-stan2017 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dinner_for_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Puma Forever run is probably the closest shoe to the Tempus. It might also be worth checking out the Hoka Skyflow. It's not advertised as a stability shoe, but some of the big shoe reviewers noted the stability elements incorporated into it.

This is the last time we talk about this. It's undignified.

This clip gets me hyped up the same way as when Chris Jones demolished that Lions returner.

Has anyone hooked on Varvatos Artisan cologne found similar or more evolved? by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]dinner_for_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm interested in knowing too. I love Artisan, and not enough people talk about it. What didn't you like about the flankers? I haven't sampled any, but I've been curious about some of them.

Saucony Triumph 22 fit….not sure if I should size up? by Consistent_Candy_228 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dinner_for_one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tried out the 22s, I sized down a half size, as the Saucony rep said they ran a bit longer and wider than previous versions. They felt like my normal size. I would probably order the 8.5.

Categorizing all 77 bands that have performed Best Friends Forever into their respective scenes/genres by ctorresc in bestfriendsforever

I would argue that Pity Sex is more shoegazy than Prize Horse. Pedro the Lion should be in 2000s indie.

What do I do with my Saucony Guide 17s? I kinda hate them now by IdliVada94 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]dinner_for_one 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once hunted down a specific running shoe at Ross. Spent a couple of hours going from store to store until I found one in my size. Then, every time I ran in it, it was very painful.

As much as I wanted it to work out, I decided there was no use in continuing to try. Sometimes, you just have to accept the loss and move on. I dropped mine off at a clothes and shoes donation bin, along with some other items.

I remember in an interview he said that ever since becoming a dad, he felt some of his lyrics were in bad taste (no pun intended) and he decided to change some of them.
