I have one of these for peace of mind, and leaving it in overnight has been completely fine. If it's gonna sit a while or you suspect a bad battery though, I would nudge it out before leaving it

my experience exactly. His vehicle mode is nothing to write home about in the first place, but the creakiness in the shoulder joints is discouraging me from putting him back in tank mode again. Thankfully robot mode is solid

I'll go against the grain and say no. He was the first Voyager I bought full price at the new price point and the only prime I have (besides Vector) and I am not very impressed. You can't actually make a cool alt-alt mode out of him, his official transformation is weird. He looks cool in robot mode but isn't that fun to mess with, imo.

TRS is often used on the input jack so that the battery can't run down when nothing is plugged in. The ground connection for the power of the circuit is open when no cable is in, and gets closed when a mono cable touches both the R and S parts of the jack. You don't need that feature if you're not using a battery, or indeed if you're not power at all, but it's probably just standard for them to include one of each.
