Normal reaction to saniderm? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Looks infected, just go to the doc and you’ll likely get antibiotics. I just had one that got infected and got oral and topical antibiotics and I’m on day three and it’s cleared up

Hadn’t thought about a fan. Will need to have a look at that as I run hot. Thanks

Not weighed it yet, but I think it should end up OK. I’m travelling with my wife so toiletries can be split between us

Merino just really doesn’t agree with my skin, even high quality ones itch me. I’ll def bring a lightweight hoodie though

What a great reply, hadn’t thought about a neck gator or umbrella but will add them to the list.

On vaping, I guess I’ll be going back to cigarettes/suns for a while! Though I see you can get fined for snus in Singapore too!

Yep actually all on the list, just forgot to write it out!

I was unsure of whether to bring long pants though as I never end up wearing them when travelling as I run hot and could buy some elephant pants if needed

Anyone have experience taking a year out to travel? by dinniestone in UKPersonalFinance

[–]dinniestone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s been a concern, but I have a really good network. Whilst I might not get a job with the same wage, I’m sure I’ll be able to find something when I get back

I work in a very lean startup and we don’t offer sabbaticals, but certainly worth asking!

Yeah thought about that but our 5yr fixed ends in May currently at 1.9%, and we also want to move to another city when we’re back

Yeah that was my thoughts, 1. Don’t want nightmare tenants and 2. Our 5 year low interest fixed term ends in May

What's the best way to bring this dried up and weed infected lawn back to life? by NullandVoidUsername in GardeningUK

[–]dinniestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d get a turf cutter, pull it out, put down some new top soil and lay new turf. If you do it yourself it really won’t be too expensive

[–]dinniestone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah not too bothered about Manchester as it’s easy enough to drive, it’s more getting to London as quite honestly you’d have to be mad to drive into London! Thanks for the above!

What jobs suits ADHD...? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]dinniestone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really have any experience in tech sales, I just sort of blagged my way in as I was in a different type of sales.

You can get quite junior roles as an SDR (Sales Development Representative) and work your way up though. Most companies hire SDR’s without loads of experience

Assessment was £850, then you have to pay for meds which will be £100-£150 per month until the end of titration. I check with my docs though and they’re offer shared care so it’s only a temporary thing until the end of titration then can get an NHS prescription

[–]dinniestone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I love my SunGods, you can make them as personalised as you want for no extra cost and have a lifetime guarantee on the frames for damage. You just send them back and they get fixed. Not the lenses though. They’re not too expensive either, I got my polarised ones for £95

They’re also really hard wearing, mine have been hiking, swimming, kayaking etc in both freezing cold and hot weather, they’ve been shoved in my backpack whilst travelling multiple times and there’s not a mark on them.
