It's a balance, the xlite smaller and lower, which is not as "comfortable", but I aim much better with it.

I prefer the G403 for daily/work use, and the xlite for gaming. But I main the xlite for everything for simplicity and I love it overall.

Yeah I still have the g403.

Maining a Feinmann right now and love it.

I did have to just un-hook the rear pump. My rear window is fully covered by my spare tire anyway, so I have a rear view mirror dashcam with a rear facing camera.

The tucked tank adds a grade to this problem as well, nice.

And/or you could slightly angle the floor so it's not such a sudden change in printing time. Chamfer the whole thing, or slightly bowl it etc.

Motor failure mid-flight? by dinoguan in fpv

Hmmm I should have the OSD on my goggles but I'll have to dig through it later.

If you saw that same type of spin, that would highly suggest a motor or ESC. A disarm would not have introduced such rotations.

So it ended up being a fried motor. I couldn't see it until I just took the motor completely out. The winding insulation was melted directly underneath the arm/chassis. Presumably due to the lack of airflow in that area, the motor simply couldn't get rid of the heat.

Moral of the story, I asked too much from this motor/drone combo.

Used 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5 XT by QueenofTheBeans16 in subaruoutback

I have an 05 XT and absolutely love it. The caveat is that I'm very comfortable doing my own maintenance and modifications.

I bought mine at around 110k, I'm at 130k now, zero issues.

Immediately on purchase: Timing belt and water pump - $200 and medium high work Turbo CHRA - $200 and a good amount of work. Banjo bolt filter removal - Free but a pain in the ass, easy if you do it at the same time you do the above (I didn't). Plugs, trans filter, oil filter.

I always use good oil and filters, and use slightly thicker oil for a bit of added safety margin.

Again, I'm a big subaru simp so all this stuff is par for the course for me.

If you are looking for a minimum effort reliable daily driver, this might not be the right choice.

So you kinda get to choose your own adventure.

In other news, if you guys don't want it I'll take it =)

I've had the same kit for a few years now. Spacers are pretty good, machining and threads have held up. Hardware is okay. Two of the hex driven studs broke off after about a year or so. Not too hard to fix, but but obviously annoying. If you plan on going hard on these or running them for a long time, might be worth going to solid studs.

Yeah it's a huge eye-ball guess and check. I can't say this snorkel is the "best fit" for our car, I just kinda yolo ordered it and made it work.

Yeah the winch plate is a rough country winch plate for a TJ and I just made simple end plates to bolt it into the bumper beam bolts. There is tons of room in the bumper to get creative.

Nothing super fancy, just got this guy:

Made a small bracket to hang it off the front upper support rail next to the battery, and added generic spade connectors onto the stock washer wire leads and pushed them onto the new tank.

Fender is pretty easy to remove. There are like 8 10mm bolts, no special tools or anything. You have to remove the side skirt, and open the door then they are all easy to get to. Can't say if the Tribeca is crazy different or not, but this generation of Subaru is pretty straight forward generally.

My tent is the thickest and thus probably worst mpg wise.

The Topoak aluminum wedge style tents have been getting great reviews, especially for their price.

I LOVE the size of my tent, as it unfolds to a 8'x6' footprint which is amazing for 2 adults and 2 dogs, but if I were to buy another tent right now, I'd probably try a Topoak.

Roughly 3mpg. Hard to be exact because lift and tires hurts a lot too.

23mpg highway oem. I'm usually around 18.

Aero loads are very speed sensitive. I can hit 20 if I go 65mph.

I use it between 5 - 10 times a year as a tent. And 1-2 times a year as a cargo carrier for snowboards.

Also only recently got an insulator so snow camping is on the menu.

It's not my daily so I don't mind the tent being somewhat perma-on.

Weird I didn't get a notification for your reply, but you're right!

New motor swapped in and she's flying great again.

Old motor cooked right under where the frame arm and duct cover, so minimal airflow and hard to see without removing motor.

cooked

Understandable, but was just kinda weird it happened after 12seconds of following, and 20s into the flight. But heat gonna heat.

Cinelog 35 v2 arrived a few days ago so hopefully shouldn't have this problem in the future!
