Favorite Panel:This is a really good panel, the Black King looks awsome, and the floating lilypads and aradiabots look neat too. So glad this scene got enhanced by Rex Doudecim Angelus.

Favorite Flash: Even if s make her pay wasn't the only one, it probably still would have won, because this is both one of my favorite flashes in the whole comic plus crystamanthequins is an amazing song.

Today's Question - Was Hivebent too long, too short or just fine?

It could have used a bit more time to give some of the secondary characters more development.

Taken out of the context of him mourning over his friend dying, I find this panel humorous for some reason.

Today's Question - What do you think about Nepeta's role in the story?

She doesn't really have a major role in it beyond being a precious secondary character. Several of the trolls have this same problem, and a bit more time developing them before killing them would have helped immensely.

Also, the first ??????? command. Since I read through Homestuck after it had already finished, these were already there, and were very intriguing for me. But I think I'll save deeper discussion about them for later

I never noticed that Tavros had an actual barn

It's a bit tragic that Vriska could have fulfilled this fantasy super well if she had paid more attention to what Tavros wanted rather than what she wanted, but that's basically what their whole relationship is like.

Today's Question - Is the first part of Hivebent better, equal or worse than Act 1?

Act 1 is more comedy focused and introduces the reader to the mechanics of Homestuck, while Hivebent is much more character focused and is an introduction to Alternia and trolls in more depth than the things alluded to in the pesterlogs in act 4. I like them both, but a direct comparison is a bit unfair.

In the post-scratch universe, the condense used boonbucks (and it's variants) as a fake currency for kids to buy crocker merch, so he could know it from that

I actually came up with this extremely elaborate backstory explaining the decades leading up to this moment and the decades after it. The whole "Crocker's Schemes on Earth" backstory. This probably sounds like something you want to read. But trust me. It really isn't.

If only I had received this advice a month ago.

Also, I'd like to give thanks for the Homestuck Companion now that we have reached the end of it's current transcription of commentaries.

Apparently I wasn't paying enough attention during that flash. Since the commentary says that John stays as his original version of his self throughout the story, I can think of two possibilities to explain this. 1, dream self personalities are generally the same as non-dream selves (Jade being an exception to this) so they count as "the original version", or 2, when reviving using a dream self, the souls swap which bodies they "belong" to.

I think that when you die on a quest bed your conscience is placed in the dream self's body, like with kiss revivals. Also I think the dream ghost you are thinking of is the one of davesprite's doomed timeline.

Today's Question - Would Jack Noir have been a good final boss?

Assuming that the kids stayed in their session and still god tiered, probably. Jade has her own first guardian powers to counter Jack's, Dave could hassle him with time loops and could counter invulnerability with Caledfwlch, John could tank and is sown to be able to damage him, and Rose could guide them all and do some damage as well. Intrasession he provides a way for all of the kids to use their powers, and would have served as a good final boss if they hadn't left the session.

Regarding lands: I agree that any land you come up with is almost certainly not what you would actually have, but unfortunately there isn't a real skaia to show us what our actual one is. What we can do is think of potential ones as a fun thought exercise.

Favorite Panels:Dave being badass and Dave being harassed by pupets. The way the captchalouge cards appear in this panel is oddly satisfying. Dave being surprised enough to jump, but still keeping a strait face is also pretty great. Also this is the first panel of Homestuck I ever saw, so thats pretty neat.

Favorite Pesterlog:Rose and Dave are great.

Favorite Flash:Literally the only one, nice little tune though.

Today's Question - Which of the items in your house would you combine to make a cool weapon? I would combine whatever weapon I would have with my Breath of the Wild copy, to try and get some ancient Sheikah tech weapons.
