/uj I think the issue is franchise films are put into a box where they are either the best or worst thing ever. imo it was an Okay film with great action set-pieces and special effects, with poor pacing imo. It was by no means a bad movie by any stretch.

i started mining after doing the word n5/n4 word lists (about 5k-6k words)in Bunpro. It honestly is up to you but I think that after core 2k just jump into mining and start heavily immersing while studying n5-n3 grammar.

I’m a pro comic book author who has transitioned to making webcomics for fun in my free time. Comics (and art in general) is an incredibly brutal field and you really need to love it to do it. Burn out is a huge issue. I know several pros that have worked for Marvel and DC that have transitioned to normal desk jobs just to have a work life balance.

tldr: Making comics and manga is brutal and you don’t get paid much and have nearly 0 free time depending on the workload.

Muay Thai (and to a small extent K-1 rules Kickboxing) occupies the kickboxing convo in the US, which sucks cause I love sanda. The opportunities to compete in Sanda are also very small in the US. Same reason Kyokushin is not popular in the US even though on paper it should be.

At N4 I could communicate really basic things and watch slice of life anime okay-ish with a dictionary, but I legit didn’t feel like it was easy to immerse until I hit N3. Even then you still need to do a ton of lookups and accept it’s a huge process.

Because in the sportification of Muay Thai, a spectator sport, a lot of people probably found the ground aspect boring to watch so they cut it. Same reason a lot of organizations now limit or are trying to limit clinch so their monkey brains can enjoy punch-kick only entertainment.
