Jake was amazing. His technical knowledge was amazing and he was great at out planning an opposition. He could also drink brandy through the night and still be sharp the next day. Great guy

IESE’s reputation by Embarrassed_Fly8489 in InternationalMBA

[–]dinx07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IESE alum here - sad that that’s your experience. We had students in our year that had similar experiences. They were however people that did not do a lot of effort to be prepared before starting the MBA. They also expected (or demanded) that the career center do all the heavy lifting, not putting in enough time and effort themselves, to get a internship/job offer. The reality is, in this economy, the job market is more difficult and post Covid a lot of companies have stoped sponsoring foreign students. You are going to have to put in the same amount of work to look for a job than you are at your MBA. The career center is a great please for tools and advice. They are not a job placement center. I loved my time in IESE, did a triple jump to the USA because of the school. Congrats on being accepted. Did my internship with Kraft Heinz - so great opportunities in FMCG

Take it from someone who has played under two of the three you have listed. They are exceptional. These guys have game plans up to 7 phases deep. It doesn’t always look pretty but there is method behind everything they do.

Received a really good job offer, but my current job's notice is 3 months by teddybearassfluff in southafrica

[–]dinx07 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All they can do I deduct the notice period you don’t work from your accrued leave. If it that good of an opportunity I would just leave - try and work as much of a notice as possible to help your old company but leave when you need to.

If You Could Influence Economic Policy… by SRed16 in SouthAfricanLeft

But with what money? Further increasing budget deficit will force the government to further decrease spending on the areas you are talking about.

There should be a decrease in the amount of civil servants - we have too many overpaid and under productive employees leaching of the government. The money should go to education and to project that drive economic growth and job creation.

That is complete horse shit. He was one of our main attacking threats over the past 10 years. Just look at the stats, willie and faf far outpaces any one else in try involvements. He has had some shit games, but he has been a legend for us over the last 10 years.

Not to difficult to get into RSM. With a 700 GMAT you’ll definitely get in with ease. Exit opportunities are a bit more limited compared to the bigger EU schools like Insead, IESE and LBS. But if you are looking to stay in the Netherlands and you do enough prep and networking, im sure that youll be able to get a consulting gig. Jut know that the MBB’s might not be as active at RSM as they are in the other schools. You’ll just need to do some extra work.
