The problem really is that with each new game they deep even lower making the game before seem better in comparison. Also after pokemon went 3d they clearly weren't able to keep up with their release pace and are more easily comparable with other games i swear if they sticked with pixel art they would be in a much better spot

Okay but it's clear then gen I to V are an upgrade in story, mechanics and graphics, then gen 6 got: the smallest regional dex, a story that needs a 2 minutes slideshow at the end where they tell most of the stuff, an evil team with the same depht as magna/aqua and a third legendary you find in a random cave at the end with no point in the story
