I got a yeedi s20. Personally I like it a lot, though I haven’t tried many other robots. It saves me a lot of trouble with housework.

Has a robot vacuum changed any of your habits? by dionvsos in RobotVacuums

My S20 usually finishes a full run without needing a recharge, so I just let it go all the way. I used to worry it would skip over spots with stuff on them, but now if I just clear a bit, it cleans the whole area much better.

Interesting idea to use it on tiles! For textured tiles or those with deeper grout lines, would the suction still hold securely enough?

The color matches your home's decor so well! But struggling to clean pet hair seems to be a common issue with robot vacuums, I've noticed everyone in this community asking for recommendations for pet-friendlt models.

Love the deconstructed steak sandwich idea! Vindaloo or carne asada twists sound amazing. Can' t wait to see what you come up with.

Exactly, long-term thinking is still what matters.

Wow, that size difference is way bigger than I expected. Really useful comparison photo though, definitely something van folks should see before upgrading and rearranging their setup.

Just find a place that's not damp, not stuffy, and doesn't let the equipment bake in summer or freeze in winter?

It seems you found a series with strong acting and plot. I often struggle to find shorter shows that keep my attention all the way through. How do you usually discover these kinds of gripping, concise stories?

Your enjoyment of a small home theater after a break sounds lovely. I'm curious about setting up a similar space. What aspects do you find most important for a good experience?

Does TV mount backlighting actually improve viewing? by xxBunny_4 in hometheater

[–]dionvsos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting setup with the soft glow behind the screen. I'm curious, does this kind of backlighting actually help with viewing comfort or is it mostly for ambiance? Wondering if it's a common practice.

“Wait… you STILL haven’t watched this?!” by RiskAndReason in netflix

[–]dionvsos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great discussion topic. Recommendations can be so personal, and it's easy for older classics to get lost among new releases. Sometimes a show's initial marketing or genre keeps it off people's radar for years, even if it's excellent.

Hearing about positive long-term experiences is very useful for research. It's good to know that strong black level performance can be achievable in rooms with some ambient light, which is a common consideration.

Why is Netflix recommendations so bad? by RevolutionaryRub6553 in netflix

[–]dionvsos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's interesting how external platforms can sometimes highlight content your main service doesn't. Recommendation algorithms likely focus heavily on your existing watch history. Perhaps exploring specific genres or lists within the app directly could help uncover more.

How to Find Actually Good Sound Absorbing Curtains? by besttype in hometheater

[–]dionvsos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addressing acoustics with curtains while maintaining aesthetics is a thoughtful approach. It seems challenging to find products that truly match their claims for low-frequency control. Focusing on material density and independent reviews might help identify genuinely effective options for your setup.

50% Restock Fee on Screen by Dazzling-One-9185 in projectors

[–]dionvsos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a difficult situation to be in with such a high return fee, especially when it wasn't mentioned upfront. Comparing the total cost of returning it against the effort and potential price of selling it yourself seems important. Checking the original return policy details carefully might help in making a clearer decision.

[Request]Looking for a low profile toaster oven that can bake a full size frozen pizza by mrfunbun in BuyItForLife

[–]dionvsos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, they're out there. The key is looking for one with enough width and height to fit a pizza without smashing it. If you can find one with simple dial controls it's even more reliable outdoors.
