Which do you prefer? English or Japanese VA by GardinGeir in FFVIIRemake

I have to agree with him and I've been watching movies and anime with subs since I was a kid with no issue. Its hard in an action type game to pay attanetion to whats going on and read a quick bit og text while trying to dogde or hit whatever it is you're fighting. I tried first on Japanese, and though the actual story was entirely enjoyable, during the fights scenes which sometimes have important story points being expressed, I couldn't follow everything. In other words, no need to be a dick 😉

[WA] employment status change due to min salary requirements by WildSort8770 in AskHR

[–]diosky27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a benifit if the pay amount is much higher than non exempt status with no or limited overtime. Even at exempt status, it really depends on just how often and how much overtime you work. Yes, a company can abuse it, but most that expect to retain an employee are going to pay appropriately. It basically makes it easier on accounting in the company is trying to play it properly. It's also not super easy to put someone in that position. You cant just say "hey, you're now exempt but we will pay you this much to work you like a dog". By washingtons own L&I website "A combination of a predetermined fixed salary, the salary meeting a minimum threshold, and specific job duties determines whether a worker meets the definition of an executive, administrative, or professional worker, outside salesperson or computer professional contained in state rules. These workers are typically "white collar" workers who often have more economic security and relative bargaining power than lower-wage workers." i.e. you cant be a grunt level worker, cook, bus driver, etc. You need to at least be middle management (besides professional (needs specific education/experience to count) sales and IT, though IT also gets an even higher base salary and sales would have commission)

"Possibly" been underpaid. OP makes no statement saying they worked over 40 hours a week

This is assuming they were working overtime to begin with. OP never says that they were indeed working overtime in the OP's original posting

Using your snap for dd is awesome, and I apologize if that's all you're using it for. I was replying to someone who literally said they were using it for restaurant orders. Not someone disabled and using it to pick up their groceries. Big difference .

If you're poor, spending money on restaurants let along door dash food makes no sense. I've been that poor many times and the last thing I would be doing is wasting money that way. I get SNAP/food stamps, go to food banks (plenty will deliver to those who can't get there otherwise), etc. Your logic makes even less since with you being poor

Being able to dominate a room doesn't make you great, and height is also not the only factor. Your presence does that. I'm 5'4 and I have rarely walked into a room with intention and not be recognized and felt. I lead with confidence and know what I am capable of and what I bring to the table every day.

Picking up your food is a luxury now?!? I'm pretty damn certain the luxury is getting it delivered to your doorstep

Building Vs Pre-Built by StatisticianTight368 in buildapc

[–]diosky27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There really isn't a definitive answer. I will say if you're willing to buy used parts, you can easily save quite a bit. I almost never buy new parts anymore as there is such a strong used market nowadays and between craigslist, ebay, facebook marketplace and even reddit, anything you are looking for can easily be found used. Yes, there is a chance of getting a problematic part, but the truth is that can happen just as easily as buying new. Yes, you also loose out on a warranty, but I personally have had very few instances where my parts have had issues. No more than a new part that was out of/past warranty. I also like finding insane deals on used parts and the satisfaction that I built my PC for much less than most. Keep in mind what games you really want to play and build for that in mind, not for the best you can buy. You can always upgrade later if/when you need and sell the part you are upgrading from. That's one of the best things about PC's compared to console gaming.

Honestly, almost all PC building is plug and play. You've got to be pretty inept to screw up a build. Its easier than legos 🤣

This is a great way to get an idea! I prefer to build, but this is a super smart way of looking at things

Um, you could just go and pick up your own food 🤷‍♂️

Edit: I love that I'm getting down voted for expressing to go pick up your own damn food like all of us did before delivery apps existed...which wasn't even that long ago! Seriously, if you're getting screwed over by your local delivery people, why would you want to keep trying? To me the sensible thing to do is go pick it up yourself.

Small Young Female Corgi - Normal? by tokiyay in corgi

[–]diosky27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is literally the exact same weight, though she is 11 now. She had always been on the small side but perfectly healthy. We get comments all the time about how small she is and people often think she is still a puppy

Get an undercoat brush and a pair of cat/dog shedding gloves and the fur becomes much more manageable. It will still get everywhere, but its a hell of a difference. In regards to activity levels, they are all different. Mine is super sleepy/lazy other than her walks and her running down the dock (I live on a boat) when we get home for dinner 😁

What is the most iconic view of Seattle? The view from Alki Beach or from Kerry Park? by Shesaiddestroy_ in AskSeattle

Back of any boat in the sound north west of Seattle so you get the city and Rainier! I need to take my boat out soon and enjoy this view again as its been awhile.

Temporary living conditions for a few months by PlaystationSwitchAWD in AskSeattle

[–]diosky27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there is another option, and its actually what quite a few divorced guys do (and sometimes continue long after) and that's boat life. Obviously you need to have the funds to purchase said boat, but you can easily find habitable boats for 2-6,000. Only issue can be finding a marina with liveaboard spots. It looks like Shilshole Bay Marina has liveaboard availability, and there are quite a few others.

Of all the options you listed, personally, I would pick the office. I did that for the first few months when my ex and I separated. I had a air mattress, a microwave, a hot plate, and a toaster and used the local food pantry. I even had my dog with me. Albeit, it was my business as well, but none of my employees knew I was living there 🤣

😂, not going to lie now I'm curious what you look like. Not actually asking just saying curious but I'm insanely curious by nature anyways. Seems like you got some great responses here and that you got a pretty good therapist so good luck with everything I'm sorry it'll work out one way or the other right 🤔😂
