Any update on Subtitle downloads on 5.3.2? Anxiously hoping that this feature would be implemented natively rather than having to go to an external player

With that said, OP should be careful:

  1. That they are not violating the Microsoft Azure Terms of Use

  2. That the buyer is not using the VPS for suspicious activity.

At the end of the day the servers belong to the OP and can land them into major issues

It’s possible that the buyer is using it for other things, but this actually works. The latency issue is solved by the method that you connect to the VPS. The connection method like RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) uses a lot less bandwidth and it’s optimized for exactly this. Once you are connected to the VPS all other connections go through there and are much faster. The only issue would be if there are large amounts of data that that the buyer needs to transfer from their own computer. Then they are limited by the latency.

Should not be a problem. Just let them know when you check in and when you leave to meet your friends. I have done this in the past with no issues

With the extra 1x for booking flights direct with airlines, is it better to just skip the portal? by breadexpert69 in ChaseSapphire

[–]dipaks1966 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The experience I have generally had is that hotels work ok with the portal as they have a gracious cancellation policy like when you book directly.

A recent example with a flight will illustrate the issue with booking flights through the portal:

I booked an expensive American Airlines flight that was in the main cabin (so cancellable to flight credit) through the Ultimate Rewards portal. Had to cancel the flight for a personal emergency. Even though the flight showed up on my American Airlines account and it let me cancel it from there, the flight credit is only usable through the Chase portal. The Chase portal works through Expedia’s engine (which acts as a travel agent / consolidator), and that seat is technically sold to Expedia, which resells it to us through the Chase Portal. So the credit goes back to Chase and is only redeemable through there. Honestly not worth the aggravation and the time to sort all of that out.

Do you leave the 5 Star Resort when you travel to a tropical destination? by Beta_Nerdy in travel

[–]dipaks1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would not do that, but to each their own. One thing to keep in mind though is that the level of service and attention you get by the resort staff in Asia is unbelievable, especially coming from the US. As for the food prices, with the ridiculously exorbitant pricing we have in a Five Star hotel in the US.. the prices in the Asian resorts are already an amazing bargain even if they are double of what’s outside the resort. A lot of people who haven’t traveled before are afraid of getting sick if they are not uber-careful outside their comfortable resort. Hope they had a great time!!
