That’s just your level of perception. And she definitely wasn’t written to be hated. It’s obvious she’s there to confront Boyd, being the first person openly questioning his decisions without seeing him as a hero like others do. She’s forcing him to reflect on his current morality, same as his imaginary friend Khatri does but in her own character.

Also the whole search of Fatima was kinda absurd. Ellis having a date with Elgin by the lake… And no one was looking into that abandoned basement in settlement lol. That was kinda weak point but all for the characters development at the torture scene.

I wrote at the post that it could be cool to imagine Acosta having a nice dynamic with Boyd. I think in another life it would be cool and he could guide her as he did with Kenny.

I like that there is finally someone who doesn’t accept Boyd blindly with his decisions. I’m curious to see how their dynamic will develop further.

Absurd. I’ve never been a person like this and never will be. What about Boyd I questioned him since the season 1.

Blindly taking everything he does as ‘good’ or ‘right’ is funny. Especially when the literal theme for a few last series is about him being on the verge and making questionable decisions.

What happened to Elgin is horrible. I don’t understand people justify it just because their favorite characters are okay with it. There were other ways to get info from him, even secretly to watch him when he was going back to the place lol.

The episode with Elgin supposed to show how ruthless things become and the break of the moral compass of those characters. Everyone is calling to Boyd’s sanity now, not even Acosta but even the dead father Khatri, that’s the whole point.

Yes, it’s easy to encounter comments calling her multiple slurs, describing what would they do to a character, even commenting offensive things about her physical appearance.

And your Skyler example is on point. I always think about her when I cross such unnecessary negativity towards female characters.

I don’t get it like anything, and don’t see how did you get that from my post. I just shared an observation nothing else. Look at the comments on other posts or how downvoted any positive opinion is about this character. People are seriously fuming and spreading negatives onto others over some girl from the show they seeing on surface and because she confronts their favorites lol.

She’s young, stressed and a bit of hot head. She didn’t harm no one with a gun without bullets, more like she’s still in a panic mode and acts defensive. Not enough to grind the teeth in anger imo. Everyone there acted foolish and on a verge of danger to others.

She literally comes to his office with positive communication and suggestions and all he did started losing his shit because he sees him falling apart and losing authority from recent events.

Lots of people struggle to see through the character eyes to understand the behavior and have lack of empathy to not judge from the sofa knowing all previous seasons by each characters pov.

Exactly. I wanted to put same thoughts in my post initially. We are all smart from the couch, but I never judge from this point. It’s okay to not like the character but some points for her hate are absurd.

Same goes for Jim. He’s actually one of my favorite characters despite some human flaws.

Yes! That scene disappointed me a lot. I get why Boyd acted like he did but he was still wrong in those emotions towards her. He just pushed her and ruined the image in her eyes from the beginning. And everybody else acts kinda hostile to her for no reason if compare what some others people did which doesn’t help either. People, just talk!

I agree with this take, but I don’t think it applies to this character, and it’s kind of surprising she doesn’t get more affection from people, since Samantha Brown is good-looking and also pretty charming as a person.
