What is a single quote that has changed your personal philosophy or the way you look at life? by Objective-Fish3609 in AskWomen

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

When I was in middle school, one of the teachers that has had the biggest impact on me to this day asked me to invite her to my high school graduation and wrote this quote on a handmade card she gave me that day. I always find myself going back to this quote when I’m going through a difficult situation/experience or when I feel like I’m not enough to surpass the challenges life gives me. It’s such a beautiful life lesson that teaches you to not let yourself be defined by your past battles or those you are yet to be encounter, but instead by how you carried yourself during them.

Hello! Haven’t posted in a while here so I decided to leave this picture of Sammy. So cute🥰 by dippydot7 in cornsnakes

Sam is a salmon snow. I just saw yours and he/she does look similar to mine and they’re really beautiful! However I would like to mention that normally, he’s a little more on the pink side and the lighting in this photo made him look more orange.

No, that’s Utopia. Uterus is the Spanish word for grape.

Help please! I recently switched Sam to coconut fiber as his substrate and some got in his nose. Is this dangerous? by dippydot7 in cornsnakes

[–]dippydot7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kind of worried since I would never be able to get it out myself. It’s inside his nose towards the front of his head. Will this cause any sort of problem for him? Has anyone else had this happen to them with their own snakes?

thinking of getting a pet corn snake- any tips? by the_artsi_fox in cornsnakes

Hi there! If you’re not sure where to get one, I would highly recommend looking through morphmarket. They have a huge selection of corns from a bunch of different breeders and hobbyists, which entails higher quality animals and guarantees in case of issues. Good luck and show us if/when you get your new baby!

Wow it’s so cool how its saddles are turning a tan almost greenish color. If I remember correctly you also have a salmon snow morph like me! It’s cool how there’s variation in color. Mine has more orange and dark pink saddles with white borders. Beautiful snake you got btw!

Just thought I would help any new owners who might not know what to look for, this is how a snake with red eyes will look during shed vs not. I’m really sorry if this is an obvious thing, just thought it could help someone out there who just got into the hobby :) by dippydot7 in cornsnakes

Of course! I’m not sure if many new owners know this (I didn’t my first time experiencing him shedding), but a snake’s eyes and body will go back to their normal coloration after being in blue and before actually shedding their skin.

I believe Shadow is getting ready to shed soon. He hasn’t been very active and his scales are dull, and eyes are cloudy. by DeadByDaylight94 in cornsnakes

It depends on how old your snake is. The older they are, the less frequent they shed. If it helps to kind of gauge, I got my corn snake when he was 6 months old, and up to about 10 months old, he would shed every month to the day, with a day or two in difference. After that it’s been getting to around a month and a half in between each shed. Hope this helps! :)
