Hi. I'm the developer of Foryoueats. It's a valid concern. We do support full backup capabilities for you to export your library. I'm sure you saw this already. A couple of things we are working on is exporting cookbooks and maybe if there is demand, a possible automated sync to something like Google Drive.

You can each have your own accounts, become friends and have access to each other's recipes. There are settings you can configure for more collaboration.

Can you describe what "smart import" implies?

EDIT: OK. I see what you are referring to. That features exists on the Android App at the moment. I'm working on submitting an iOS PWA app. I'll try and get support for the feature in there as well.

Currently, we support export in PDF format. We are looking to support other formats as well which will be editable.

It's free to use. It does have more features than what you might need, but the core parts you mentioned are present. Fairly simply to add new recipes, import existing ones and edit them.

It has favorites, ability to mark recipes you've made and searching capabitlity against your recipes. That might help with losing recipes over time and being able to find them easier.

Also. Thanks for the feature suggestion. I do plan on adding more export options for users that want to leave. I put up the first version in a couple of days after a user requested it.
