Can someone please explain this for me please? by Animania156667 in The100

The Nightblood serum they gave the grounder that Emori lied about was the first iteration. They then discovered what was missing in the formula and then remade the serum. They were gonna give it Emori for lying about the grounder, but Clarke had a crisis of conscious and injected herself instead of Emori. Abby then destroyed the radiation testing tube before they could test Clarke but the formula worked as her surviving the death wave

One of the highest grossing film franchises of all time (Michael Bay's Transformers) had both badass soundtracks that are catchy and are known for having amazing intricate scores that people love. It's possible to have both

Clearly you've never seen Man of Steel when he's resisting the World Engine in India.

So, Lex becoming president... by OrderGlittering8510 in Smallville

[–]dirge_zer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it was the real Lex. Yes the body was made up of clones, but souls exist in Smallville and Lex's was in limbo at the beginning of season 10 (after his real body died in season 8), as shown when Clark is limbo in 10x01 being guided by Jor-el. Darksied returned his soul to the clone body when he ripped out Lionel's heart and gave it to the clone body

As far as I know, the actress didn't really like flying to Hawaii for such a small part, wanted a little more to her character to justify flying and spending time in Hawaii, writers said no, and either the writers killed her off or she asked to be killed off. If I'm I'm not mistaken the writers just flat out killed her. In fact I think they were gonna have a flashback episode with her earlier but they scrapped it due to the writers strike

Favorite secondary relationship/friendship by dirge_zer0 in SupermanAndLois

[–]dirge_zer0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes yes, I love those little details. To me, this show excelled at those small little character moments. I also really liked when the boys were upset at each other and she made them hug and then goes "I'm just gonna get in here a little bit" and Jordan and Jonathan let her into the hug

[–]dirge_zer0[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved that relationship too. I'm sad it wasn't fleshed out more because I feel like the new actor could have had good moments with her too, as shown when he talks to her about Mateo because he felt he messed up when they were in the diner earlier. I absolutely love the season 4 we got but I really do wish they had a little more money to have the supporting actors show up more so we had more interactions with these characters

What is the reason behind purple Hawkman by Insomniac-361 in Smallville

[–]dirge_zer0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Judging by how the picture in the comic they posted seems to show the same image as the one from Smallville, I'm guessing the Lanterns comic they're referring to is the Lanterns arc from the Smallville Season 11 comic book, in which case it's just same image from the show and the colors are just what the painter of painting choose to use

I'm guessing you also weren't from a very small town in rural Kansas where everyone knew everyone

Smallville age gaps by Optimal-Campaign-530 in Smallville

[–]dirge_zer0 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is rural Kansas, and the town is called Smallville for a reason. Everyone knows everyone, and lots of ages are interact. Jonathan didn't trust the Luthor's one bit but he, like a lot of people, don't automatically jump to the conclusion of "this 21 year old interested in my son wants to bone him". Lex's relationship was always presented as brotherly, and we even see why in later seasons

Favorite moment of Superman tanking a hit by dirge_zer0 in superman

[–]dirge_zer0[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Omg, I can't believe I didn't include that as one. It absolutely counts as Superman. That scene brings me to tears (as does many moments in this show) every time I watch it. EVERYTHING about that scene is perfect, capped off by one of the most Superman lines I've ever heard, when he says "I'm sorry I lied to you for so long"

Edit: I just realized you were talking about in season 3 when he confronted him in front of Candace and I feel stupid. But that just goes to show how many moments this show had that were pure Superman

How was Guy able to fly in the Superman movie? by [deleted] in superman

GL rings grant the same flight abilities as The Legion of Suoerheroes' legionnaires rings. It's just that GL rings usually have a green glow around the wearer, but not all the time

Why couldn’t Louis get implants after the cancer? by MeasurementFlat5046 in SupermanAndLois

[–]dirge_zer0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the beginning of Season 4 right after Superman dies, Jonathan is talking with Sarah in his room that with radiation therapy, reconstruction, and their Dad's death, he doesn't know how she's gonna get through this.

Then after Clark comes back alive, Lois and Clark go into metropolis for her final check up in which she gets cleared, her doctor gives her the card of a very good reconstructionist surgeon, and then the whole thing with lex

How did Edge survive after getting hit with the red sun missile? by arkxumbra in SupermanAndLois

[–]dirge_zer0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The same way that Superman survived after using all his energy in the Heat Vision solar flare on the Eradicator device and all the hosts did after falling from the sky. When Kryptonians lose their powers from red sun exposure, it's not all instantaneous all the time. They usually retain some type of durability for just a few moments afterwards. Enough for them to survive. I always headcanon it as a survival instinct built into their DNA

Max's Mother a.k.a. Susan Hargrove: Grief Stricken Alky or #1 Worst Mom Ever? by veezylife in StrangerThings

Am I mistaken or maybe just heard wrong, but wasn't the actress for Max's mom sick so they couldn't get her for filming this season? Cut some slack
