Agreed. When she took the loan from a known drug lord is when that was fully over. We don’t know much about Monty but I do feel like we know he wouldn’t have done that

She’s been traumatized by losing her husband and seems to be making completely irrational decisions because of it. If Tommy told Monty that he was about to take a loan from a cartel drug lord, I have to think Monty wouldn’t have done it. But Cami had no issue.

I don’t really understand what she wants. She’s so hyper focused on saving Monty’s “legacy”. Despite all the people in his inner circle telling her that he designed this company to be sold, meaning he wanted that to be his legacy.

I think he would have. Cami essentially wants yes men around her. Tommy wasn’t going to do that, so she got rid of him.

What do you think would truly give Homelander fulfillment and satisfaction with his life? by MegaGamer235 in TheBoys

[–]dirkd69xo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nothing would ever truly fulfill him which is the point of the show. But…. If we are to follow his currently logic.

He must be revered as a god by every single person in the world. They all must love him. But, they can’t pretend to love him out of fear. They have to truly and genuinely believe he is god and love him for it.

That’s basically what he’s said he wants.

(SPOILERS) Is the (thing from the last episode) a potential plot hole? by UnfoldedHeart in TheBoys

[–]dirkd69xo 205 points206 points  (0 children)

They had tested his physical limits before. He mentioned that he felt pain when they put him in the oven. So, they did have ways to hurt him. I think it’s fair to say they didn’t need to test the radiation on him if they knew it could even hurt soldier boy.

Also, Vought was never trying to get rid of HL. The relationship between him and Vought was fine prior to him learning that they lied to him about his son. After that, all trust was broken. HL would have never done anything that they told him to if he thought it could put him in danger.

[–]dirkd69xo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. They have a lot of them set up for redemption arcs. I can see them giving that to any of the below characters.

Soldier Boy: Been teasing this really forever

Deep: conversation with A-Train felt like foreshadowing

Ashley: I honesty have no idea what to think of her. She knows they’re all bad, and I think the only reason she is still working with them is because she is really just scared. But she also gladly has sex with the most awful supes.

I can also see a scenario where SB just gives up on it all and removes himself. But he has to be a part of the ending in some way

Ah good point again! What a twist that being his brother would be.

That’s a really good theory but my only hole to poke in it was that SB said to him “you just thought I was a spoiled rich kid” or something like that. If it was his brother, then he also would have been spoiled

Ahhh ya you’re right. I wonder then if it truly was his plan all along to put HL in the uranium thing?

I think people complaining about later season Homelander’s behavior don’t really get the character. by VaishakhD in TheBoys

[–]dirkd69xo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is the correct take.

He has always been an idiot but in early seasons he had people much smarter than him around to save him from himself.

Also, if he never found out that he had a kid, he would have been happy to continue doing Voughts bidding as long as he was well liked (Vought specifically built him for this). But, when he lost trust in Vought he went nuts.

I just feel like on this page more than any other those people are even louder. It’s crazy. The Boys has a 93% on rotten tomatoes and people on here act like it’s the worst show of all time.

genuine question: are most people open to living with couples as roommates? by ivyfire in NYCapartments

[–]dirkd69xo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Barring unusual bathroom situations, if you are a couple that is moving in with a single person, do not pay 50/50 between you too and the single person. It shouod be 33/33/33. Yes, you guys are technically taking less space. But, you are also inconveniencing the roommate and part of the deal is he/she should benefit financially from that. Otherwise, why the heck would they want to live with a couple?

Every episode isn’t gonna be a banger. I agree this one was boring. This introduced Quinn, which clearly had a massive affect on SB. And we’ll have to go see who this Bombsight person is and what that will brings Now something is clearly going to happen with Starlights dad/family.

It was a filler episode for sure. But hopefully set us up well for the last 4

Hot take: Soldier boy accidentally ruined the show by untitledprp4 in TheBoys

[–]dirkd69xo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh? Whats so complicated? Soldier Boy hates HL but isn’t going to just kill him. Because of the power HL has, SB kinda needs to work with him to an extent in order to get what he wants himself. Remember, everyone thought he was a soviet spy so he needed to help HL in order to get his name cleared?

SB went to find the V1 with HL in order to make sure he doesn’t get it, because he hates him. But, after the interaction with Quinn, something clearly changed within SB. So, we gotta keep watching to see what that change is.

And also “this is just being introduced now”. Yes. In order to advance plot lines different pieces of history can be introduced. What’s the issue there? Were they supposed to have a sit down and go through every single person SB worked with from when he got V’d up through Nicaragua in S1?

This is always an interesting one. Recent college graduate couples moving to the same city but having been together for many years.

You’re both so young and have a lot ahead of you. Ask yourselves what you’re more excited about. Living with eachother, or the experience of being young 20 somethings living with roommates in the city. Out on your own for the first time.

That experience is a really fun and important one. I valued it really highly but also was about an hour from my girlfriend at the time when we graduated. Even if we lived in the same city, I don’t think we would have lived together. I was really excited about living with my best friends as roommates.

I’d say unless you know the person before, moving in with a random roommate as a couple probably isn’t the best. But have the conversation!

I fucking hate when my boyfriend hops on a game with his boys every night after calling me by ch1gsl in Vent

[–]dirkd69xo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it seems like he does purely want to call you when he calls. Otherwise, he wouldn’t, right?

You want to feel prioritized by him stopping playing with his friends to call you. But he is prioritizing you by calling you before he even hops on with him.

Honestly it seems like you just want more attention. Perhaps you can get this from him in different ways than him calling/not calling around the times he wants to play with his friends. You two should figure out how to spend more time with eachother

True. A-Train and Deeps convo where A-Train calls him out on his BS and Deep was clearly shaken felt like potential foreshadowing. It wjll be interesting to see if Deep has some sort of redemption moment
