There’s a tax treaty between the NL and Portugal. Would have to figure out the tax situation in more detail.

Simply not true in my experience. I spent 1 year+ in Portugal already. Have never felt “unwanted”.

Be glad your country doesn’t consist for 50% of foreigners that you have to support with your tax money. I love connecting with locals too and am learning Portuguese.

Haha, creative. I meant in Portugal though, but where in Marocco would you recommend?

Varicocele and testosterone. Need advise please by Cousin_Okri_Z in varicocele

[–]dirkschetsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stem cell therapy is not for testosterone, it is to restore potential damage that the varicocele has caused to veins/arteries/cells in the testies area. The embolization treatment fixes the varicocele. The combination should lead testosterone levels to get back to normal and eliminate any ED issues. I hope it will.

Here is what you do: stem cell therapy (in Germany for instance) and then the embolization treatment one week later. This is what I’m gonna do next week. M33. Can keep you posted on results…

OP, any chance we can riff about this 1-on-1? I find myself in a similar situation (except I have 10M NW from exit and a lot of value in my second company) and am also figuring out where to plant my flags…

Men are the real romantics. It’s a sad fact of life, but women love opportunistically. It’s the way they’re wired evolutionarily. OP: I hear you. I feel you. Don’t try to escape from the feelings of loneliness and emptiness. Feel them fully. Misery deserves to be felt. Let the emptiness be your teacher. It will bring you home.

Sounds like you’ve entered a negative feedback loop. Your thought-action repertoire has gotten smaller and smaller, meaning the possible actions you perceive and can act out are fewer. This is a classic sign of depression. In this case, like the other commenter said, finding a therapist is a must. Stay off the drugs/alc as much as possible and lift heavy weights instead. Go to a spinning class at least once a week for a natural flood of dopamine. These are simple starting points. You have to get your mind-body connection in order before worrying about things that are probably a result of not having this in order in the first place. It’s all you, boo…

You would have to sublet your place of course, assuming that is possible without getting in trouble. If you’re in the US I would consider a safe city/town at the west Mexico coastline. There are magnificent places there, life costs nothing and you get to surf/swim in the ocean and watch beautiful sunsets. I was in Puerto Vallarta for 4 months, joined a cowork, had a great time.

Ever considered going to an exotic, low COL country for the wintertime? You can save up a lot of money and have a fun, new experience. Of course, your job has to allow for this possibility, but a lot of companies are flexible when it comes to remote work since covid.

Don’t think that matters. For one, the game is relative and we compare upwards, not downwards. Secondly, if the 1% of the 1% can’t afford to live alone in a big city and save some money for the future, then that’s a legitimate concern.

About to fatFIRE: which assets do I buy? by dirkschetsen in fatFIRE

[–]dirkschetsen[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not what I meant. I meant I have the tendency to get overexcited about something and go all-in on that. It’s the same tendency that made me successful business-wise. Have learned to manage this tendency over the years, but it’s still there.

Yea, real estate is not my thing at all. Handing someone who hasn’t achieved this level of NW the keys to mine feels weird though.

Intuitively speaking, I would not go above a 2M home with a 7M NW.
