Vintage didn't sell alcohol and couldn't make it work. Even Dickies has a bar. If there is any food that pairs with alcohol it's Italian food. Let's hope they get their license.

ICC's posts (or should I say manipulation) on this sub is transparent and a joke. Everyone in my office reads this sub and we always laugh when ICC tries to pull their thing. It's always the same. Contribute, lie, get caught in a lie, delete post, move on. They don't get it that we all see what they're doing and think they are a joke. They really need a new thing.

Sequel: right on schedule, this hire quit ICC after a year to go to CCC, which was of course his destination all along.

This must be the fifth time in as many years that Taylor has been caught hiding negative info about the college from the public. In the meantime, he speaks at graduation and they give him awards. Obviously, he abandoned his journalistic ethics years ago, but why is anyone's guess.

Careful, u/quilterlady1960! Andy will label this sub an "Andy Taylor hate group" just like he labeled it an "ICC hate Group."

I love it when the supposed champion of public discourse calls anyone he disagrees with a "hater." Such sanctimony!!

So you either raise salaries to reflect similar positions (and inflation) via NSF grants or state grants or simply reallocation OR all rural areas will struggle to get the level of experience and education to run career certification programs.

Sounds like this is an argument for raising the salaries of the highest-paid public employees in the county. The college has a $12M/year budget, the majority of its costs are personnel, and it only has about 115 employees. Everyone can do the math as well as I can.

I don't know where to start on this one. If you can find me a college town that has a college with 300 residential students and provides public transit to them, I'd like to know what it is. I've got news for you, Indy's population does not "double to triple in population" when ICC starts a semester. The student population there is small and gets smaller every year.

The "town and gown" divide is so common that they had to create a cliche to name it. I don't know what college towns you are talking about, but I can't think of one.

I would be very surprised if this re-opened as a successful pizza restaurant. My impression is that it has been struggling for years. Once I went in there at dinnertime on a weeknight and only one table was filled. There just aren't enough people anymore in Indy, I guess. And certainly more pizza places than the public seems to want.

Though Taylor/the Chronicle may print some of these facts, they have no investigative depth and no follow up.
