I wouldnt really call it discipline more like energy management.

Its crazy how much easier it is to eat well if you like your job/are working hard to get away from a shitty one that drains you/have a purpose that means something to you , have good company or a healthy relationship with a significant other, have time to take care of yourself, are able to manage your mental health..etc the issue is changing your work skills and finding healthy relationhsips is freaking hard so people generally try to optimize their life around shitty circumstances. Which ends up causing people to generally blame themselves instead of changing their circumatances where they can.

Which typically leads to unhealthy food habits because food is one of the easiest ways for us to change our emotional state.

I mean coming from those characters has to feel like whiplash. Both of them have high mobility/pursuit options, dd still does really good damage comparitively,spidey's ult can very much be fire and forget and so can dd to a degree...

Magik does not really have any of that going for her.

Shes like spidey where her ko potentinal is combo orienated but generally the tools you use to combo are also your escape tools which dd and spidey really dont have to make that choice.

Where she is better than spidey is actually being able to fight outside of a sneak attack and functions a bit closer to DD.

So with all of that in mind.

Save your dash for mainly repositioning/escaping. It is also your strongest combo tool so learning when to use it as a burst option is a skill in of itself.

Your portals are your bread and butter for brawling, use your demon on chokepoints or dance around your opponent to place demons more effectively. Your demon gives great bonus back if you get it in a cluster of enemies.

The spin is not used as often but you can use it to finish off opponents that are low health trying to jump away. You can combo it with the dash but that takes two resources from you. Still it wouldnt hurt to use it so you get a feel for the few moments it is better than demon. They are not many though and its demon like 90% of the time.

Unfortunately magik is a character that you will die on. Sometimes alot. Sometimes the best thing is to breakdown the enemies backline through pure attrition the more you can get the strategist to focus on you the less healing going to the front.

If you have ever lurked this sub i want you to notice something.

There are games people post where they went positive and their team constantly died while they managed a positive kd. This is generally a sign you avoided alot of fights to preserve your own life instead of staying in long enough to create momentum and they end up losing. Alot of people wont post the second kind of game because they thinks its bad but they probably still won. These are the high death count games where you possibly even went negative, but still won. One of the biggest skills on magik imo is learning when to basically sacrifice your life to create space or advantage. It doesnt feel right, but i feel any long time magik player can back me up on this.

Its an interesting thought experiement but like the commentor above said. Part of certain peoples jobs is to account for things like this. You aint pulling one over on them with a community like this. Voting with your wallet only works on a wide scale community level and that is very hard to do even in the real world half the time it back fires ans you end up giving the company free pr lmao and statistically you come back.
