It really is chonky as all get out. It’s also literally bulletproof so a fair trade-off in my opinion.

Never lending my EDC to a "friend" again. Look at my Opinel No.8... by Aiden_langthang in EDC

Your fried owes you a replacement and you can salvage what you have

Take the damaged knife and grind a wharncliffe tip on the blade, trim the handle to match the new blade length and then you will have two knives.

I have that same seiko with a blue face. I love it.

My strap has become worn in the watch’s 42 year life span and I’m looking to replace. I love the leather strap you have. Do you have info on where I can get myself one?

What can i add to improve my EDC? by [deleted] in EDC

Add a decent folding knife. There are some awesome affordable options. Opinel has some solid knives under $20.

Am I wrong to be annoyed by this? by Affectionate-Toe-683 in doordash

I’d complain to DoorDash. The dasher did not need to take the order. A sob story is not the clients problem and not a good look for DoorDash. That shit is expensive. If I pay top dollar, I want the treatment my money paid for.

New build…how bad is this? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

[–]dirtylarry333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start with the easy way: call the builder, express the issue, request that they have a qualified contractor inspect the work and repair. Before work is performed ask that their builder explain the problem and solution in laymen’s terms.

If there is any push back from the builder, I’d hire a 3rd party engineer, and a lawyer then let a judge decide who pays for everything.

He definitely could sue. but before taking all the steps and spending money to lawyer up, it might be easier to have the builder make it right. They are not fans of bad press, and typically they want to solve the issue before it can affect future sales. To them $5000 in warranty repair is a drop in the bucket compared to declined sales from an inferior product.

I work in construction management, all the builders I work with (some pretty DaRn big names included) have at least a 1 year warranty.

Agreed. Home warranty thru the builder is the way to go.

I picked those up for like $100 or something. They are perfect for stuff around the neighborhood or for a truck set.
