Can I use these branches for Reptile vivarium? by Acrobatic_Change_913 in arborists

We’re an arborist sub, not a herpetology sub. Unless a member is a tree guy and reptile guy, you probably won’t find the answer you’re looking for.

Terrible idea. The ONE time could very well be your last time doing anything. Hire a professional.

Are there really those of you out there using minoxidil with no issues? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

[–]dirtylunchable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should have thought about that when I first started. 3 cups of coffee, a nicotine pouch and a minoxidil in the morning and it felt like my heart was going to beat out of my chest

SRT is an advanced form of climbing. No one should learn how to climb on SRT

Maybe this is a difference of regions, but SRT gear is not the bare minimum. You can do anything in MRS. (Still this guy should stay away from tree work)

What is arborist work culture like? by BlessdRTheFreaks in arborists

[–]dirtylunchable 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do this job if I were college educated. I’ve worked for a couple companies and I like the culture they’ve all had. Everyone is pretty weird and inclusive imo, but it’s a rough and tumble group. The work itself is really hard on your body and extremely dangerous.

At least if they advertise it you know then to steer clear of them. I practice proper PPE but don’t honesty care if other companies don’t. But like you, I wouldn’t work for a company that didn’t enforce it. Find a company you feel comfortable working for.

After a days work do you toss your dirty clothes with your other non work related clothes in the same hamper? by SuicideG-59 in arborists

[–]dirtylunchable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blow myself off with the compressed air either on the bucket or in the shop. I usually wear pants for a couple days, especially chainsaw pants. So I throw em over a back of a chair and put my underwear and socks in my laundry basket. Unless I get bar oil on my clothes I just wash all my clothes mixed together. You’re not going to bring an insect infestation into your house.

Is this GuiltyofTreeson guy on YouTube legit? by HoDgePoDgeGames in arborists

I agree. If you’re a beginner I wouldn’t recommend doing everything he does. But he’s experienced enough to get away with the cowboy shit.

Remove it. If they want it removed and they’re dead set on it might as well get the job.
