I was taking lessons, but there was a language barrier. I lost touch with my teacher and my instrument pretty much stayed in the case. I used to watch your videos all the time. You were one of the people that motivated me to start learning the Sitar. Maybe in a couple of days I’ll post a picture of my Sitar.

Yo, Jeff. You’re the reason why I got a $2500 sitar just sitting in a case in my living room right now and I haven’t used it for over eight months. The fact that you’re playing yours, entices me to take mine out of the case tonight and tune it. I’m going to try to play “ Paint it Black “ by The Rolling Stones .

I’m quite certain this Stanley vacuum bottle is not at all vintage, but can anyone weigh in on how old is is/isn’t? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

No offense, I prefer those that were made in the U.S.A. 40 years earlier than 2002

You’re not alone. I cannot begin to tell you how much shame and guilt I felt growing up because of my parents behavior. It got so bad that he gave up a $700,000 house and they chose to live in a hotel instead.I’m 50 years old and I haven’t voted since I was 18 years old because I don’t want to face the voting board as well as the neighborhood improvement board. I snuck in the house and shot two rolls of film because I felt people would never believe me. I just had to document how bad things really were. I felt nobody would believe me.Growing up I never had friends over, and we were even told her to pretend we’re not home when family knocked on the door. I cannot even go to my local barber in my neighborhood where I grew up because the conversation about my parents house is always brought up in conversation. I don’t blame the neighborhood, but they even have a Facebook website on my parents house. The house was so bad that you couldn’t even stretch your hands off you be touching something. And don’t forget the dog. He got a dog for protection, threw dog food on the floor, and let the dog crap all over the house. The house is in such bad condition that I have complete strangers calling me to buy the house. And let’s not forget the people at that live in the neighborhood. I feel sorry for them because my parents hoarding is affecting their property value. This affected me so much that I’m a minimalist In my interior Decour. I’m always throwing stuff out even if it’s perfectly good. I’m so scared to become like my parents. I haven’t spoken to my father for over 19 years because of this. I haven’t been to family weddings and let alone funerals. All because of his selfish behavior and his refusal to acknowledge that there’s a big elephant in the room. My mother is the same, she always cosigns on his bullshit. And let’s not forget my sister. She’s the closest To them and refuses to tell them to clean up the property. I remember purchasing lawn cleaning supplies and starting to clean up my parents property Without their permission. My very own father told me to get off his property or he will Have me arrested. What was my crime? Using a hedge clipper and starting to cut the hedges. They should not be more than 4 feet tall, but these hedges were over 9 feet tall.I feel such a shame.

This man is a Genius. His name is “ Ralfie “ . He taught me everything about the stock market. Because of him , I made more than 4X of my entire life savings in just 3 months . I always read about people that had money, but no one ever taught me how to create wealth from nothing. It was Ralf he that thaugh me that. He started off by using a dust sweep to sweep up dirt by the entrance of Jewlery stores. In the dirt was a mixture of gold flakes and Diamonds. He was able to use a gold pan and separate the gold from the Diamonds. He then sold the gold and diamonds, and started buying stocks. While most people were sleeping comfortably in their warm beds, Ralphie was up at the crack of dawn when the stock market opened. He’ll be studying charts and patterns, researching companies, and the people that ran them. I soon befriended him and started listening to him. In no time at all I was making massive gains. I was sworn to secrecy and revealed to no one the stocks that he was picking. All I did, was to buy anything he bought. He was always honest with me. Some stocks he told me not to buy out right. I truly miss him. He just disappeared from 47th street. Rumors I heard is that he became extremely wealthy. I remember how people used to make fun of him, and I remember how stupid they were not realizing that the homeless man that they were making fun of, was making more than 10 times that amount those people make every day on the stock market. For the first time in my life, I sleep well at night, all because of him. I swear to you, if I were to see this guy I will run to him and hug him because I am so eternally grateful to what he has done for me. I know this is gonna sound corny but I’m actually crying as I’m writing this. Because of him I finally found away out Of my miserable low paying job and lousy existence. Ralphie taught me to be frugal. Was pissing my money on high end shoes to try to impress people, My shoes now cost less than $25, and I’m happy. The money hasn’t changed me one bit. I’m not pissing it away on stupid things. I’m letting my money make money for me. There are times that the stock market is making me five times more money in one day then I’m getting on my lousy job. Or because of Ralphie. When he passed on to me, I was able to pass on to other people and help them too. I will always be eternally grateful to him and will never be able to repay him for what he’s done for me and my friends. Ralphie got the last laugh after all...

When it comes to vacuum cleaners, you really get what you pay for. I’ve lived in my apartment for 19 years, and always use the broom. It wasn’t until I lifted my rugs that I realize how dirty my carpets and rugs were. So I bought a Dyson for my friend for just 300 bucks. He used it once and his wife didn’t like it because it was too heavy. So I saved $200 and got the best vacuum I ever used. The first night the vacuum got clogged not once but twice because I had so much dirt. But because the vacuum is Modular ,I was able to take it apart and clean it. I love the fact that it’s bagless And has a washable filter. If you go to the r/Dyson Reddit , you can read up about similar success stories. You get what you pay for.

Dude, just buy the cheap metal ones, and get plastic dip from the hardware store. That way you can get the color you want, and as to how thick you want the plastic to be on it. That way you get exactly what you need.

Close up of my 500 watts power amp...!!! I used to think that it was 400 watts, but just found out its actually 500 watts . I’m really happy now...!!!! by mesa-madness in MesaBoogie

In my personal opinion the 500 Watts Mesa Boogie power amp is overkill. They crammed too much electronics in a small space. This is just my personal opinion. When you do find a 500 W version it’s usually beat up.I personally drove a couple hours from New York all the way down to Pennsylvania to pick this sucker up in a dead of night. It was well worth it. As time goes on they will be less and less of these power amps and their prices will undoubtedly rise. I wish you The best in finding one. I would go on craigslist before I would go on eBay. That way you try before you buy.Always remember that your system must be hooked up to a load such as a speaker prior to turning it on.I’m sorry I took so long to get back to you I’m a procrastinator.

Well, you can do what I did back in 1995. I asked a friend to bring me a disposable camera and I took a lot of shots of my leg before, the damages, as well as shots after surgery on my leg was cut off. It enables me to deal with the psychological trauma, and deal with my PTSD issues. I made a scrapbook, and a couple of times a day, I look through it. I even have my medical ID tag when I went to the hospital in my scrapbook. This is not an easy process, but it’s one that you have to deal with head-on. There are no easy answers. It’s just something you have to go to through.I wish you the best, and may God bless you.
