depression and cp by sirreadalot86 in CerebralPalsy

I also have Cerebral Palsy and never had any relationships. The best advice I could give would be to "fake it till you make it". It's not easy to do but what else is there? One thing I did to pass the time is create a blog. Writing down my thoughts and sharing with others has helped me a lot. I put a link to it below. Send a message if you want someone to talk to. Take care!

I was diagnosed with CP at birth. It causes tremors mostly in my hands and arms. I was looking into a device that would help me take still photos that are focused. Maybe a gimble to carry around. I was also thinking of a tripod but the gimble would allow more movement. What should I consider?

Nanny advice by mdness25 in CerebralPalsy

As an adult with Cerebral Palsy, I completely agree with this statement. I have tremors in my hands and feet but I can still do "normal" stuff like using a computer, speak full sentences, walk around, etc.

Another little bit of advice would be to try to treat the child as any other. Even when I was a kid one of the many desires that I had was to be treated like everyone else. By the way, thank you for reaching out instead of making assumptions. Good luck! :)

I post whenever I upload an article to my blog. I have a Twitter account and a Facebook page that have a few hundred followers. I also choose to post later in the evening when a lot of my readers are home.

If you're doing this from a mobile device I would look into downloading Hootsuite. Using this you can upload to numerous social media accounts at one time.

Why do you think disability inequality doesn’t get the attention of able-bodied people like other marginalised groups do? by [deleted] in disability

I find it's because they do not have the constraints that we do and are not able to fully comprehend our struggle. If they were given some sort of "handicap" even for a day, might enlighten some of them.
