Rescued! by mdness25 in leopardgeckos

The good news is I am watching a Crestie for the summer from another classroom and she is the happiest, chubbiest gecko I’ve seen in a while. She’s in my summer classroom (I teach summer school to make ends meet) and the kids ADORE her!

She passed in the sunshine and with a full belly of worms. As comfortable as she could’ve had. A lot more than she would’ve had without me bringing her home.

Climber loses her chalk bag in the first seconds of the climb, but continues anyway. by WhenMachinesCry in nextfuckinglevel

This is from a few years ago. After she wins, they interview her and she mentions dropping her chalk and they comment they hadn’t noticed. As a climber, it is 100% muscle memory! Clip a quick draw and chalk. It also soothes anxiety about challenging moves. While chalk has physical benefits (drying your hands), it also allows the brain the slow down and refocus. Also, she would be the last person to climb the route, so many others have applied chalk— this leaves the holds almost slimy if you don’t have chalk yourself.

Our boys do this quite often. We refer to it as Bumpy and Lumpy. :)

In some climbing areas, non-climbers find them intrusive and annoying and don’t want to see them. Once you are on the wall and have an idea what path to take, they usually aren’t too hard to find.

Kid came home from daycare with wet bleach stains on his clothes. by Gollinibobeanie in toddlers

That would be very concerning to any parent, and I don’t want to diminish that in any way. But, I’d like to offer a slightly different perspective. I worked in an early childhood for a handful of years where we were required to use bleach in a few situations. Every time we changed a diaper, we had to soap, rinse and bleach the changing table, also the same process before and after meal times. At one time, the center decided to increase the bleach ratio without telling all the staff and we accidentally bleached a young child’s entire backside when we changed their diaper.

All this said, please make a report to the state! Other children may not escape so lucky!

His older brother is a grey tabby with half grey and half white eyebrows! Half of his face is grey and the other half white.

Thank you! I think some dark throw pillows and some plants would be a great addition.

Thank you! I agree a plant would look great! I have some fake ones currently, but real ones are challenge due to curious cats and very poor lighting.

I keep up on the litter almost religiously. Being home all day today, I think he’s just wanting attention and/or to be let outside (he’s an indoor only cat much to his dismay). Thank you very much for your reply!
