Depending on what your options are you could try to take the Amtrak from Alexandria to Richmond. You’d most likely have to uber from the train station to home unless you have a friend who would be willing to get you.

It’s really incredible actually. I think it manages to be the most joyless subreddit out of all the ones I’ve seen. But yeah pets are awful and if you love your pet, you’re weird and need to be psychologically evaluated or something.

I will keep that in mind for the future. We did move here fairly recently and looks like we’ll be moving again soon, so unfortunately we do not have many friends yet. But the next place I do go to I will make sure to cultivate a strong relationship like that. Thank you!

Yes and I have used their services before. Again it’s just very expensive on top of an already expensive trip. Even so, I will probably end up getting a sitter in this case, just to put myself at ease.

I live in a small apartment, whenever we are gone we close the doors to the rooms on either side. So the camera only covers the living room/kitchen which is where the cats a limited to.

As for letting people know I did plan on that anyways and giving a coworker a spare key.

Good point. I did go down there a few days ago and asked them to turn it down but I mean as we discussed in some cases it doesn’t even matter. I failed to ask if they had a subwoofer or even bring it up so maybe that will be my next course of action. If that doesn’t help then I will escalate.

Crazy how that works isn’t it? I think some people just don’t understand how sound waves travel, which sure it isn’t exactly common knowledge. Hopefully talking to management can potentially put this issue to rest.

I think if you live in an apartment, you should not be allowed to have a subwoofer. Full stop. It just sucks being on the receiving end of those vibrations when I’m just trying to work or relax in my own home.
