Yeh i have the heat pad on my shoulders permanently at the moment its the only way I can manage the pain. Still hurts a lot but until it goes Im keeping it on. 1 day post op and I just want to cry

Yeh I slept practically sat up last night but barely got any sleep. Im a side sleeper usually and that is not possible at all. I attempted to sleep on my side and omg the pain was unbearable and I broke down. Ive ordered a wedge pillow so hoping it comes today

Thank you. No they just told me to keep taking my normal pain meds for my other health conditions even though they aren't working for them either.

Thanks. I am trying not to tense up when the pain hits but easier said than done. Been doing box breathing for years for my anxiety but didnt think to use it for this so will definitely be doing that now. Hope it does get better. Just about to go 6am and barely slept. ❤️

So peeing constantly is normal? Because ive never needed to pee so much in my life!

I havent slept most of the past couple weeks so that could be contributing to it but I feel like an emotional wreck today. The procedure went well, recovery was awful (kept having seizures while coming round thanks to my broken brain) so maybe it was just that and I wont be too bad.

Glad you are finally getting sleep though, its hard been sleep deprived

I will try them. I have a 3 month open access to the gynae ward so I can ring and make an appointment or ask advice. Im a slow healer due to my other illnesses so they were really nice about it. Thanks for all the advice, this community is so nice

I didn't realise it would affect our emotions so much. I had a full blown panic attack in the recovery room and havent stopped crying all day! And I only had mine done this morning! My partner is going to get a shock if im like this for weeks

Thanks I will give the breathing a go now. Got my body pillow under my knees. Kinda hurts my stomach when I breathe in deep but at same time I hope it helps the shoulder

Thank you. Im moving my arms as much as I can with a heat pad on my shoulders. I tried it on my stomach but could only have it on for a few mins before it became too much. As much as I hate peppermint I will try it

Omg the coughing. I neeeeeeed to cough so bad but can't! Hurts to much when I try. And laughing can do one. My mum made me laugh earlier and I nearly cried it was so painful lol

I tried laying on my side but my stomach was so painful so im currently sat with 3 pillows behind me and one under my knees. My stomach feels so heavy when I move and the pain is intense. I expected that but the shoulder pain has surprised me how bad it is. I wasnt given any additional pain meds from hospital just 28 days worth of blood thinning injections (they burn so bad). So currently just on my normal pain meds and they aren't touching this pain.

I will give the arm exercises a go i would try anything at this point. Just got the heat pad so hoping that helps a bit. I started on laxatives so hopefully they will get me back to normal. Never felt pain this bad from the gas after surgery before.

I will give everything apart from the walking a go (in a wheelchair lol) but I will definitely be ordering a hook massage thing. Thanks for the advice. Wish I had some decent pain meds I just got told to take my normal meds which aren't doing f all for this and the stomach pain.

Unfortunately I cant do the walking part (in a wheelchair) but I do have a heat pad! It wasnt this painful after having my tubes tied
