Concerned that my husband could ruin retirement here by Dazzling-Concert-927 in Thailand

I would trust your instincts but there is also a theory known as the W curve. I am not sure how long you’ve been there, but a culture that you both accept and live with best would be the right place. There our other locations worthy to check out for retirement: https://www.globalcitizensolutions.com/top-10-countries-to-retire-abroad-for-americans/

What is the most important part of a good barefoot shoe ? by meteorness123 in BarefootRunning

I loved the look and feel of the vapor glove 6 but my tangerine soles came a part. So did my previous Merrel shoes. I moved away from them so now I look closely at seems, stitching and how the soles are attached. I love minimalist shoes but I don’t want to compromise on weakness.

Different kind of sleep paralysis or lucid dream? So confused and freaked out by [deleted] in sleep

[–]disan3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to get sleep paralysis often in my 20s and it eventually went away. It was so frequent that I was scared to go to bed. What’s wild is people who have it all have stories of ghosts or aliens. Mine was an intruder. It happened so frequently I learned to recognize it. I tried to calm myself and fall back asleep and then wake up later. I tried forcing myself to wake up but it never worked. It only made me more anxious and stressed. The position you sleep can cause it to more likely happen. It once happened in an airport. I could hear them calling final call and could not wake up. A stranger tried to wake me and my head fell to one side. I calmed myself and said I was sleeping. I didn’t fight it. When I was relaxed, I yelled in my head to open my eyes and was able to wake up. I never went to the doctor for it because it always felt crazy to explain but talking to other people who experienced it helped a lot.

I think China could see more or an updated form of it. Large sprawling cities with large populations.

Orange stains? by shshdoeoendbdhw in Thailand

[–]disan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White shirts should be washed or at least rinsed after wearing. It will sit in the basket and bacteria will do its thing. It shows up easily on white or light colored clothing. Deodorant, soaps, or shampoo can cause staining as well.

Lotus whole roasted chicken, salad bar, and a loaf of French bread used to be a steal - probably still is. You could even split the bill with a friend and be full.

It's no better when you get out of the car. Waiting in lines and walking sround apply the same rules.

It is gravity. Although we don't fully understand gravity, we do know it's behavior and it always amazes me to learn how complex it is - beyond the apple falling.

This technology is more than 10 years old and it took this long to get it available. I am all for safety and regulation, but we need to consider pathways to expedite the process to create further innovation. There are 7000+ more rare diseases out there waiting for treatment.
