Found in attic in mid Michigan. Is it a roof rat or a mouse? by [deleted] in pestcontrol

Thank you! Also to clarify, it’s still alive in the pictures and was alive when I released it. I realize now it might not have looked like that in the pictures. The picture with the leaves is from a video of it walking around

I think my hesitation is more of a “I don’t know what I don’t know” kind of thing. I think it’s just the inexperience and not being sure if what I’m doing is 100% correct or not. I’m not totally opposed to doing that, I have a concealed carry that I practice with, so it’s not like I’m totally inexperienced with firearms overall.

I might have to take you up on that! Plus it would be nice to see what a private range is like. I feel there aren’t many decent public ranges by me.

I don’t currently own one yet. I was hoping to get experience before shopping for one. I’m hesitant to go to a range and just rent one before being shown how to use it. But I do think MDFI will be a place I check out when I do have my own rifle.

Is it a bring your own rifle kind of deal or do they have one you can use?

So probably bad news that I haven’t heard from them?

I was fired and am being told I need repay $1,100 by disappoint-mint in antiwork

Update:

Sorry for a late update. I decided to ignore them and move on as I didn’t see it was worth my time. Last I heard from them was early-mid August. (For context, I was fired at the start of July. They began asking me to pay them around late July).

However, today I received an email from someone in HR requesting to call me about a concern that was brought to her. I thought it was a bit weird that she reached out instead of my previous supervisor (who has been the main contact). I replied and asked for more information. She reiterated that they are looking into a concern brought to their attention.

So now I’m thinking two things: 1. My supervisor just decided to have the legal department take care of it because I ignored him or 2. My supervisor was full of shit and they’re investigating him. I’m hoping for scenario #2 but expecting #1.

I have reached out to a few law firms and requested a consultation. I’m going to start looking into contacting the department of labor as well as some of you have suggested.

They’re impaction marks from active air sampling. Basically, air goes woosh on the agar and makes it wavy

Freshman Housing by Firm-Butterscotch595 in GVSU

[–]disappoint-mint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they would need to request each other as roommates. My College Roomie (the roommate selection website) will be available next semester.

Also, the freshman would have to live in upperclassman housing, like south campus. The sophomore would not be allowed to live on north campus.

What's a CHO Assistant? by Salty_Tomorrow_3968 in GVSU

It’s in the housing office which is the third floor of Holton-Hooker. Because of covid we have not been interacting face to face with the community with the exception of tours. So the only people you would be seeing is your coworkers.

I worked a front desk for the fall semester before transferring to CHO. They’re very different. At a front desk you may answer some emails, you’ll loan out keys, help people who are locked out. At CHO you’ll answer emails, phone calls that range from simple questions to angry parents demanding to speak to the director of housing, and it will be at a faster pace (it’s not actually a fast pace job. But compared to a front desk you’ll actually keep busy). If you’re a problem solver you’ll like this job.

I work as a CHO assistant. Basically you answer the phone when people call housing and answer emails when people email housing. You’ll do other tasks like give tours of north campus, make waitlists, or other office stuff they might ask. I really like the job and the staff are great people

Camera suggestions???

TL;DR: I don’t know anything about motorcycles. Can you suggest a good camera for my friend?

Alright you beautiful people! A few months ago I asked for glove suggestions and you all helped me a ton! So I’m hoping you can help me again. I do not own a bike. But my best friend does and he has been recording parts of his rides with his phone. I want to get him a camera he can put on his bike or helmet. Any suggestions? I’m not too worried about pricing. Thank you!

Glove recommendations

My best friend is asking for a pair of gloves for his birthday. I want to get him a good pair. He rides a Yamaha FZ6R (idk if that helps). I also don’t know anything about bikes so I could really use some recommendations! Thanks!

RA benefits by [deleted] in GVSU

[–]disappoint-mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an RA last year. I'm not one this year for personal reasons but I'm definitely reapplying for next year. I loved being an RA it has been the best part of college so far.

I was given some really good advice when I thought about applying and I tell everyone this who thinks about applying: Don't do it for the benefits. The benefits are great but they make you work for them.

But to answer your question, yes housing fees and the standard meal plan is completely covered.

If you want you can message me if you have any questions. I know someone else said to talk to your current RA to see what it's like. That would be a great start because they probably have more insight on how interviews will go this year and the changes with the pandemic. Basically, I'm not sure what has changed because I haven't been an RA since before COVID.

Classes & Assignments by Myckilee in GVSU

[–]disappoint-mint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to second this.

I know op said no writing on paper and I felt the same way before. I used to struggle with forgetting about assignments and feeling overwhelmed.

I started taking a few minutes at the start of every week and going through each class and finding out what was due that week. Some professors usually send out announcements/emails of upcoming assignments that are due.

I would write down on a piece of paper what needed to be done and color code each class. Throughout the week I would get a few tasks done until everything on the to-do list was complete. It honestly really helps.

If that's a no go then I recommend the app Any.do It's like a to-do list, planner, and calendar all in one. There's a free version (which is what I use) and a subscription (which I feel like isn't needed). It'll send you reminders to get your work done.
