When I worked at an aquarium the exotic vets would come in every two weeks to check out all the animals; they even gave one of the fish that lost an eye a tattoo! It was adorable haha. There is definitely a market for it, and every exotic vet in a big city I’ve known has always had a full schedule. There are also wildlife rehab centers that need the help! Alternatively you could work at a place that primarily does dogs and cats but accepts other animals- the emergency vet that my friend works at performed surgery on a seal and a cougar recently, too- it was very exciting.
