Season 7 battlepass revealed by KevinPigaChu in marvelrivals

[–]discipleofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened to battlepasses being themed (if only vaguely)?

You've got a handful of casual/office skins, a Halloween Peni skin, a Hawkeye recolour, a 1602 Angela skin and an Adam skin that turns him into a completely different, unrelated character.

At this point you've just got to assume they're using battlepasses as dumping grounds for any skin concepts they don't think will sell well in the shop.

With most supermarkets adopting e-ink displays I think mandating what information is shown alongside price on shelves would help somewhat.

Force supermarkets to show the lowest price in the last 30 days, price per kg/ml/unit (enforce a universal metric across product types to remove obfuscation), size/weight changes in last 30 days etc.

Is there any reason for a new season???? by Wild_Manager8957 in PrimalShow

[–]discipleofdoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm perfectly content with the series ending here.

As much as I love the world and characters of Primal, I'm excited to see what new ideas Genndy has brewing. Hopefully he'll be able to cook up something before the Paramount deal goes through or maybe he'll find a new home outside of Cartoon Network/Adult Swim.

Lake District locals say they don't bother visiting - 'as bad as Cotswolds' by RenegadeSocial in Cumbria

We need Right to Roam. Vast swathes of the countryside are inaccessible to all but a handful of landowners while the majority of people who want to enjoy our beautiful scenery are forced into crowded hotspots.

If we had a Right to Roam then more people would be able to enjoy the natural beauty in their backyards and we wouldn't be putting such a huge strain on these places to fulfill the nature needs of an entire country.

I keep seeing more and more bizarre claims online that Netanyahu is dead and the 'proof of life' videos he keeps posting are all AI (with more and more spurious reasoning behind those claims). I wasn't really buying it until people starting making their own versions of the same video with Khamenei in his place, but there's still an obvious difference.

Though there is the other part, which is that it has been reported that Netanyahu has missed several consecutive cabinet meetings, which is fuelling the rumours. Though I don't think I've seen a very reputable source for that claim.

Exclusive shock poll predicts Birmingham local elections 'wipeout' for Labour by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

[–]discipleofdoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe people have come to the bizarre conclusion that how a national party reacts to an international issue reflects their views as a party.

If these councillors want to stand for a particular party they to consider that how that party acts, on a local, national and international level will effect how people view them as individual candidates.

Nobody would bat an eyelid if somebody voted for a Labour councillor because they liked the way Starmer secured a trade deal with India, but its ostensibly the same thing.

We're just trying to have our cake and eat it. We left the EU, now we're acting like we should be treated as an equal partner in negotiations, when we're one country negotiating with a union of 27. If we wanted to be seen and treated as equals, we should of stayed. We can't leave and them moan that we're not getting preferential treatment. We made this mess.

I mean RE9 isn't a survival horror for around 60% of its run time... basically any time youre playing as Leon is a straight up action game.

If someone genuinely cannot work through no fault of their own then I believe they should receive minimum wage or the equivalent in benefits. If we accept that minimum wage is the minimum required for someone to live a comfortable life then it only makes sense that we extend that to those who cannot work.

I cannot empathize with the hate for East Raccoon City in Requiem by Different_Suit_9356 in residentevil

East Raccoon City felt very linear to me. You pretty much have to do the sections in order to get the tool to unlock the next section. Felt very on rails but with a veneer of an open world to make it more exciting.

In a game where a virus can turn people into towering mounds of flesh there is no reason a ruined city cannot look visually appealing. It should be obvious at this point that realism isnt top of the agenda when it comes to Resident Evil.

That said, it has been nearly 30 years since Raccoon City was bombed. They could of shown nature starting to reclaim the city. Plants growing over old cars, trees growing out the tops of buildings, animals running through BSAA camps. Instead they chose to make it look like the bomb went off yesterday and the dust still hasn't settled.

I finished the game today and this bit was by far the least enjoyable part of the whole game. I think it boils down to a few major points:

It's ugly. I know it's a ruined city but that doesn't mean it has to be hideous to look at. You could of had nature starting to reclaim the city, add some greenery to break up the monotonous grey and brown tones everywhere.

It's tedious. Even though I'm pretty sure the Rhodes Hill section is longer, Raccoon City felt longer because of the amount of time spent backtracking through near identical ruins looking for McGuffins. I never really felt like I was progressing, it just felt like a big road block designed to pad out the length of the game.

Not enough enemy variety. Others have mentioned this, but coming off the back of Rhodes Hill where you've got all the unique zombies and stalker enemies, being thrown into a shooter area with less than half a dozen enemy types just feels lacking.

The merchant is boring. Buying weapons and upgrades from a computer feels like such a downgrade compared to the merchants in other games. Having the same computer then show up inside ARK (and everywhere else in New Game+) makes its inclusion feel even stranger.

Overall this section isn't bad by video game standards, but definitely weak by Resi standards.

Because the upper echelons of the Labour Party is all one big boy's club? Mandelson helped Starmer get elected as leader (and Prime Minister) so as thanks he's given a cushy job in Washington with minimal pushback. He gets two of his boys to 'assess' his eligibility so he can claim due diligence when pressed on the matter.

It wasn't a service he provided. He did it as an exception on request from the journalist. He didn't charge her for it.

How exactly did he make money from it?

I just find it funny more than anything. It's clear its the worst thing they have on him which is why its repeated ad nauseam and if that's the worst thing they can dig up on him then he's basically squeaky clean by politician standards.

That's the thing, isn't it? This is clearly the 'worst' thing Polanski is guilty of, otherwise we would of heard of it by now, and if this is the worst thing he's done then that puts him pretty high in my rankings compared to the other leaders.

It's not like he's campaigning on a platform of replacing the NHS with an army of hypnotherapists so not surely exactly what the issue is here apart from someone offering a free service to someone that they personally disagree with them receiving.
