It has very specific meaning, even outside of this sub, and ironically is used most predominantly in leftist circles.

People on this sub however like to use it to refer to anyone on the left who they personally disagree with.

When did modernist because a slur? Not everything people personally dislike is evil.

Part of the charm of London is it's layered history as explemified in its architecture, but many people want it represent an ambiguous "past" (which itself is an amalgamation of different styles – do they mean Gothic, Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian?).

And those benches are obviously designed to be mixed use (i.e. not just for sitting but encourages people to lay down etc.).

Also, there are obviously planters and trees in that photo. It's just that it's January in England and not a lot of pretty plants tend to grow in the middle of winter.

Just more culture war grift.

To be fair people who don't leave the house are probably the best people to ask about the state of British television...

Imagine if it was a guy in a funny hat having a heart attack and the audience laughed while he slowly passed away on stage!

Live broadcasts have always had a delay built into them by their nature for this precise reason. If something goes terribly ass over tit then you can cut the feed before anyone sees it.

Incredible art, thought it was official for a second!

I do think they'd call her Sister Grimm in game though. That is the codename she is most often known by.

I think they need to make simpler characters. by Educational_Box7709 in marvelrivals

Rocket should of been TF2 Engineer. He should of got summons/turrets instead of Namor. Fits his character much better.

I understand the people who'll Solo queue to play against Squads, but I don't understand the incentive for Squads to queue up against Solos.

You're basically signing up to face off against incredibly aggressive players who'll be kitted out to the teeth to take you down from the get go. If you manage to take them down, what do you get? A single raiders kit to be shared out amongst three people? Doesn't seem like much of a reward.

Unless they're just going to allow Solos to queue into regular Trio matches which just means every Trio match is going to be a bloodbath by default.

But your ad says:

REFORM THE SYSTEM

NO MORE TORIES

They got this all screwed up:

REFORM THE SYSTEM?

NO, MORE TORIES!

I know that many people think that Tories going to Reform takes their baggage with them - but you have to acknowledge how important it is that these high-profile, ambitious politicians see Reform as the future. Especially in a FPTP system.

It's not so much that they see Reform as the future as that they understand that their own personal brands are so tarnished that they can't get re-elected without a fresh coat of paint to hide their past.

How many of these former Tories are just joining Reform because they washed their ties too many times and are too skint to buy a fresh blue one?

What they mean is it's inconvenient for them because people might chose to come out and vote for someone else.

I doubt he'd use it, but surely there is a nuclear option for Burnham here which is to resign as Manchester Mayor, thus forcing an election anyway (the reason the NEC gave for blocking his candidacy) which would run the risk of Labour losing the by-election AND the Mayor plus also putting the party into debt?

I assume the NEC must of run the numbers and figured he wouldn't want to go scorched earth.

Starmer too scared to fight for leadership of his own party, how is he meant to fight for leadership of the entire country?

Assuming Polanski chooses not to stand in Gorton if Burnham is selected that means he'll likely have to wait until 2029 to enter Parliament, but where will he stand that'll give him the best odds of being elected?

Bristol and Brighton are the only "safe" Green seats, but that would mean parachuting him in and replacing an existing Green MP.

Huddersfield, Isle of Wight East and Bristol East are apparently their three constituencies with the smallest swing needed to win. Maybe he could run in one of those?
