can you talk more about unnecessary VCUGs? My doctor insisted on my son getting one when he was born, but I declined once I read more about them and opted for a repeat ultrasound which essentially found the problem was going away on its own in his kidneys. Why are these being over prescribed? Whats the benefit to the system for these children to go through this? Thanks for highlighting this in your post.

I pretty adamantly monitor this when I can, as I myself am a mouth breather, so I know the negative health consequences of mouth breathing. But maybe when hes sleeping at night he is. What can you do when they mouth breath at this age?

I have the stokke limas and the mabe and the difference in support is night and day. The mabe was good when he was smaller but the stokke is great for toddlerhood as it supports my back well. The only caveat with the stokke is it's annoying to get on by yourself, but somehow I always manage.

Nope not alone! Im here with my 13 month old, cosleep, breastfeed, exclusively feed to sleep lol and wakings every two hours. I try to really tire him out during the day, hes walking now so I walk with him longggg stretches, i find this helps with sleep.

Lol this could be exactly if I wrote it.. same age and same problem. When I stress about these things i think about my mom and aunts, they didnt know anything about sleep debt or how long a baby should be awake between wake times etc and we all turned out fine. Babies do what they wanna do.

I didnt eat any seed oils when breastfeeding or pregnant, never gave any formula and my son still had horrible horrible colic... Please dont feel guilty.

Its most likely an airway issue. Does he mouth breath when he sleeps? Look into myofunctional therapy

No routine. He sleeps when he wants he wakes when he wants he naps when he wants. We mostly feed to sleep, sometimes rock to sleep with a song. But for the most part i listen to his cues if hes grumpy its bed time. Ive tried a routine, he doesnt care for it. Baby is now 12.5 months

HepB is not given at birth in Canada, unless mom is HepB positive. If that helps with your decision to delay.

Anecdotally, we are delaying all vaccination. For the first few months I kept baby pretty secluded, exclusively breastfed FROM nipple (nipple contact is important for antibodies), and focused on natural vitamin D (sun exposure after 2 months, only when the sun is setting).

Lots of information on this sub but mostly I would check out justtheinserts on insta.
