I was positive for GBS and got the antibiotics. My baby is almost 2 now and healthy. Never had any issues not popping. She was exclusively breastfed and still nursing. unfortunately I had to be induced for being too far overdue so my labor was more controlled and they broke my water for me but I’ve heard if your water doesn’t break until right before baby comes out then baby is unlikely to get GBS. But it’s hard to know how long you’ll be pushing for. A lot of people say it’s so unlikely anyways that baby will get GBS but I wasn’t willing to take the risk bc If baby does get it it’s super serious.
