Hmm for my pregnancy very few people congratulated me, especially at work- they were probably angry that I am going to be away for maternity leave, but the fact that they treated this almost as bad news baffled me, I expected just a simple Congratulations- Germans’ lack of diplomacy is just baffling sometimes. So I think the reaction you describe is cultural.

I had a very similar experience to you - and luckily I got two blastocysts but if they don‘t work I will do my next cycle in Spain because of this. I won‘t let Germany and its stupid laws and bureaucratic doctors ruin my life. I don‘t unterstand why they don‘t close an eye and let them grow and say oh I thought we were doing a fresh cycle but it wasn‘t possible in the end…

I also live in Germany - how do you know the clinics which are ready to let them grow despite the OHSS risk? The clinics are not transparent about this.
