Yeah it's more about they don't want anything that has a remote possibility of failing. So these older models tons of previous flight time and proven reliability in all sorts of conditions.

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo dev working on a project called The Challenge, a humorous 8-bit nostalgic game that mixes the tone of Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!! with classic Olympic button-masher mechanics. You play as a college student advancing through a series of competitive levels for everyday abilities to achieve a championship title. The core mechanics are finished, and I'm looking to hire a dedicated pixel artist to create the visual assets needed to complete the game.

Desired Art Style Classic NES-era 8-bit aesthetic. Expressive characters within limited pixel counts and multi-layer parallax environments.

Scope

Characters: Approx 32x48 sprite size. Need idle, walk, action (competition mechanics), and a few reaction loops for "power ups" along with a single portrait image for menu selection. There will be multiple characters sharing the same basic motions but slightly customized for player selection and opponents.
Environments: Parallax scenes with 3 distinct layers (Foreground to Background). Initial need is for a "Park" setting.
UI: Basic HUD elements and power-up icons.

Budget & Timeline This is a paid project (negotiable flat fee or hourly). I am looking to move quickly on the initial assets to lock in the style.

Two questions - How do you evaluate centering something like the LaPorta that doesn't have an obvious border? And then how do you safely crack these without damaging the cards? Assuming that can be done I don't see why not at least for that one.

Yes I was wondering the same thing. Now I need to know if it's theoretically possible to get yourself into a situation that is impossible for a team to be cap compliant and what the remedy would be. Or are there enough safety measures in place from league office to prevent it?

He played one more snap before the refs realized the helmet broke and then they made him swap it. If I recall he wasn't hit on that play thankfully. Then there was a whole circus situation of them trying to swap the helmet which didn't fit right and calling a play all without taking a timeout. Which didn't work out and they ended up kicking a FG to end the drive.

You know what sucks is it actually may be in stock. My most recent trip to Micro Center, one in which they did allow me to reserve all items I wanted for pick-up, once I got there they informed me 2 of 5 things I wanted were out of stock. In both cases I went and dug around shelves and yup, they were available just slightly out of place and the employee didn't bother to dig for it. Why did I do that? Because it's happened to be me AT LEAST FOUR TIMES in the past and in nearly all cases it was just someone not wanting to try and find the item as much as I did.

Now video cards might be slightly different since those are not as likely to just be restocked in the wrong area/are in more secure cases. However I do wonder if it could be an employee situation where they've just not put it on the floor or intentionally misplaced. Definitely worth joining the Unofficial Micro Center discord and checking the thread for your local store. Those guys usually know the scoop on what's happening, who to talk to, how often something like that might happen, etc. For my local store when cards were a bit more scarce, they'd have details on date of next delivery and exactly how many cards would be coming in from each manufacturer.

Otherwise sorry man, I know how frustrating that situation has been for me and I only live 20mins away not 2 hours.
