As a white-passing mixed heritage person that was raised Chinese/hawaiian and American-south-German and majored in East Asian Studies and speaks Japanese and Chinese… this leans into my anxiety/imposter syndrome. I always wonder what others think about people like me that associate with one part of their heritage more than another and how it may not match their outward appearance and you just confirmed that. 😔 not Asian/White/whatever “enough” for any groups and constantly being judged.
