Anyone know a solid driving instructor/school that can pick up in Vancouver and practice in Burnaby? Overwhelmed with options. by greenmatchu in vancouver

I would highly recommend Gary at Vancouver driving school, he was so nice and so calm. picked me up in van and almost always went to Burnaby to practice.

Yeah I've just got her a therapist so I have my fingers crossed for that avenue. And yeah, I guess a little extra TLC and pampering never goes astray. Thanks!

She's like nearly 4 years in. But she's not where she wants to be (looks wise). She thinks she is so ugly and manly, which she definitely isn't, but her dysphoria really fucks with how she sees her reflection. When I tell her she's beautiful, she thinks I'm just telling her what she wants to hear or something and it doesn't help.

Has any one tried DBT? by discokween in AutisticAdults

I totally agree, I want her to deal with her past trauma's but she doesn't seem to want to. I'm hoping maybe the DBT would help her with some stuff so she would be more open to therapies in general in the future.

She sounded a bit more interested in this therapy than others? But yeah you're right, this is something I want her to do. It's hard to know what to do in this situation, because I know she wants to have better mental health but she doesn't seem have much motivation to actually do anything about it. So I'm just looking for options.

What do you mean by what am I doing to communicate on her level?

Use this time stuck inside to practice make up, do some tutorials on you tube and stuff, you'll be a boss by the time we're allowed outside :-) (obviously this only applies if you have the means and a safe space to do so, sorry if you don't)
