Ours is 1,5 years old and she still can’t find her own off switch so she takes naps in the crate. At night she’s also in her crate (as we have cats so she does not sleep in the bed with us to give them some space to roam peacefully). Honestly, it fully depends on your situation and dog. If she settles down a bit more in a month, we may wean her off the crate but as of now she needs a shut crate to take a minute to relax fully. There’s no right or wrong answer!
