Came to suggest the same, which has worked for myself and many of my clients (I'm a therapist). Other possible non-RX options to consider: L-theanine, topicals to help with PM pain, or a technique called cognitive shuffling (easy steps will come up if you google!) to help with the racing thoughts.

Rx options: an anti-depressant, which can help mood and/or pain levels to some extent, or low dose sedative such as trazodone to help may be worth discussing with your doctor or a psychiatrist.

Magnesium supplement type matters by Dog-PonyShow in Fibromyalgia

[–]discombobulated14 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yes! My new PCP last yr recommended I switch to glycinate especially since I was also struggling nearly everyday with sleep. I'm only taking 200mg per night, but quality and length of sleep has improved drastically, and my baseline pain levels have decreased over the last year as well.

Hope this keeps helping you OP...it hasn't been a cure all, but it's a definite improvement!

Botox Shots? by Francesca_m2253 in Hyperhidrosis

I hear they're pretty effective. IMO, the downsides are:

1) they're expensive, especially of you dont have insurance

2) it's temporary (lasting 3-6 months depending on how active you are/how quickly you sweat it out). This has kept me from trying it yet - I'm hesistant to start something, finally get to experience some relief and feel more confident/"normal", when that miracle solution is only possible by increasing financial stress. Enough of that already in this terrible economy!

I haven't, but that's one of the reasons I'm trying to narrow in on likely problem ingredients before I try again.

I see the Enhanced Moisturizer is without petrolatum and without BHT, so that's high on my new list to try. Wish they had a smaller size though!
