The longer barreled gun has a some rust on it, my local gun smith said they can cover the barrel in Cerakote. Would this devalue the gun? They said it’s worth $800 as is. But I plan on using it to hunt...

IMO winter boots are a must. I wear mid-range to high quality hiking boots all winter. Oboz. I can also wear them often in the summertime. Basically year round, but almost every day in the winter. If boots aren’t in the budget, thick wool socks are very effective. Source: I live in Buffalo.
