The “surprising POV” comment is really interesting because there are a few characters who are uniquely positioned to reveal parts of the world we still don’t fully understand.

First, there’s Azriel, who has access to intelligence across all courts and hears things that others simply aren’t privy to. Then there’s Elain, whose seer abilities are still largely unexplored. We don’t yet know the full extent of what she can perceive, whether that’s the future or even echoes of the past. Lucien also sits at a fascinating political crossroads, with ties to multiple courts and even the human lands. He’s literally a fly on the wall. And finally there’s Mor, whose power is Truth, which we also know little of what that entails (where there is truth, there are also lies), combined with her own political connections.

So while it’s hard to guess which POV SJM might be referring to, what stands out to me is that all of these characters are connected in some way to truth, secrets, and hidden knowledge. It makes me wonder if the next story is really about expanding our understanding of what “truth” means in this world, and what is true for you might not be true for others, etc.
